I have a 2006 Boulevard M109R and I have the exact same issue with the Gas oder and leaking. I noticed this issue whenI started my bike after letting it set in the garage for about a month and a half. When I first started the bike it kind of puttard and stalled so I restarted giving a very slight twist with the the throttle to keep it going and it stayed started and ran fine but on the foor of my garage I noticed a small puddle of gas, I assumed it was from my initial rough start. Yesterday I rode it to work with a full tank of gas and on my way home my gas light started blinking and I had to fill up again. What was the out come of your issue when you took it to the dealer for repair? i have read many Blogs from other riders that have experianced the same issue. Do you know of any recall from the dealer adressing this issue?

I began noticing a strong odor of gasoline around my suzuki m109r motorcycle and could not find the cause of the strong odor. i started the motorcycle in my garage to let it warm up and went inside my home to retrieve a jacket so i could go riding. when i returned several minutes later the odor of gasoline was extremely strong and i noticed a large puddle of gas had formed on the ground under motorcycle. i shut the motor off and looked and noticed that fresh gasoline was pouring from under the left side of the air breather and dumping onto the engine and then onto the ground. this went on for several more seconds until the fuel stopped flowing from under the air breather. i cleaned off the fuel from the motor and off the ground and began to do a search on the internet for similar problems from other suzuki m109r owners. i found dozens of complaints from other owners who have and are still experiencing the same exact problem. today i contacted my local suzuki dealership and informed them of this problem and they said this is the first they have heard of the problem i described. i will take the motorcycle in to the dealer service area this coming saturday and let them look at and fix whatever has gone wrong. according to several other suzuki m109r owners and several dozen articles written by other owners this is not an isolated problem and this needs to be addressed and fixed by suzuki before a major fire or death does happen.  view
