Without any warning, the clutch started slipping at 64,000 miles. I had just completed a highway trip without incident. When I exited the highway, the clutch would not engage until about 3K RPM, then would slip again immediately. I have been driving manual transmission cars for many, many years and have never had a failure like this--no warning, no noise, no indication of a problem at all. One minute it was fine, the next it slipped badly.
