No guy, its the air ride. All air ride cars have air bags, an air pump and a ton of sensors. I have a '93 Mark VIII, greatest car I ever owned but the air ride is high maintenance[PERIOD] Like other expensive rides with air ride systems, they will fail over time. You can either pay $500 to $1000 every time it hiccups for a fix at your local dealer or you can replace the air ride with a spring set thru Strut Masters or another. I found a set in 2002 on ebay after putting in $3000 over the years for 2 pumps [located in the fender, sensors and a pair of air bags. Finally I said enough and got the kit for under $500. When the one front bag failed, I had the front bags replaced for $150 installation fee and sold the sensors and the good front bag on ebay. 3 years later in '06, the rear bags failed so for $200 they were replaced. Less than a grand an no more $ or problems with the ride and just as good. Now for all rattles and squeeks you get over the years and dents, NoW thats another issue
