1993 NISSAN ALTIMA User Comment / Complaint

Our 93' Nissan Altima Runs great until it bogs down, then suddenly takes off again. During this while stopped the rpms will fluctuate up and down. Can any one help, or has anyone experienced this behavior before? I am an 18 yr old girl and I know NOTHING ABOUT mechanics.
