2001 LEXUS LS430 User Comment / Complaint

Tl contact owns a 2001 lexus ls430. the contact stated that the trunk lid failed to remain open. he felt that the failure was due to the trunk struts wearing out. the dealer has not inspected the vehicle. the current mileage was 77,000 and failure mileage was 30,000.

My 2003 ls 430 has 32,000 miles on it and my trunk struts have failed the dealer said they must be replaced,this is a serious problem with this car since i have only open this trunk for about 200 times. i have had my hand squeeze due to the falling trunk lid.i just ordered replacement struts before a serious injury occur.

My 2003 ls 430 has 32,000 miles on it and my trunk struts have failed the dealer said they must be replaced,this is a serious problem with this car since i have only open this trunk for about 200 times. i have had my hand squeeze due to the falling trunk lid.i just ordered replacement struts before a serious injury occur.
