2006 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT User Comment / Complaint

3.6L engine failure due to faulty oil pump/bolt. Two dealers and 34 days in the shop, its back on the road. This has left me with significant unanswered questions about the longevity of my engine. VW did repair the engine under warranty - but what happens when the warranty runs out? Root cause appears to be a design "weakness" (defect?) in the engine with respect to the oil pump bolt.
