2001 TOYOTA CAMRY User Comment / Complaint

My father-in-law has a 1998 and my wife has a 2001 Camry, both V6. We discovered that my father-in-law's car was leaking fuel at the fuel regulator valve (part of the valve seems to be made of plastic). At soon as he crank the engine, I could see fuel spraying out, which could ignite easier as compared to fuel leaking and pooling. Fortunately, the engine compartment was cool at the time of the discovery. If the engine was hot, I am pretty sure that a fire would occur and his car would be up in flame. I check my wife 2001 XLE Camry and it has the same valve. Not sure why Toyota use plastic component the fuel system near the engine but I will be replacing it soon to avoid a potential hazardous situation.
