2003 SUBARU WRX User Comment / Complaint

I have the same car and the same problem. I was on the freeway in stop and go traffic when I realized that my car was trying to accelerate while I had the brake on. I found a recall on the web for the car that dealt with the accelerator cable. The dealership fixed it for free. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I just had to replace my transmission.
