1998 DODGE CARAVAN User Comment / Complaint

I chose to use my 1998 Dodge Caravan as a trade-in after it was discovered to have Strut Tower Corrosion under the hood on the driver’s side. My local mechanic said I was one railroad trestle away from a serious accident where the front suspension mechanism could have pushed up through the hood first cracking then shattering the windshield. Another retired mechanic said Chrysler has known about this problem for several years. He says Chrysler should have had a recall on its mini vans from 1996-2002, when the issue was officially noted by Chrysler.
