Tl contact owns a 2005 dodge caravan. when locking and unlocking the doors on the vehicle, it alerts the owner as if the alarm is set, the door is locked or unlocked. the contact observed that the doors were not locked or unlocked and the alarm was not set on the vehicle. the contact wasn't notified that there was an update available until he called to dealer about the failure. after notifying the dealer, they stated that there was an update to the software for $130. the update to his vehicle was performed on november 8, 2007. the approximate failure mileage was 42000 and the current mileage was 43845. rk
