2004 JEEP LIBERTY User Comment / Complaint

Replaced head gasket, had to have car towed on 9/4/07. took until 10/1/07 to get my car repaired. my mechanic called for parts and were told they were back ordered. well, when i picked vehicle up on 10/2/07 i was told the parts were being snatched up due to demand on the jeep liberty (mine's an '04) having problems with some of the head gaskets. my car only had 43,000 when i purchased used/new 6/1/07. when i put in shop it had 49,575 miles. my mechanic stated that the gasket should have been good for at least 100,000 miles.
