Extreme hood temperature due to turbo in excess of 225 degrees f due to extreme temperatures burns to body parts up to 2nd degree can occur if hood of car is touched. damage to plastic hoodscoop on car...basically it is melting and deforming i replaced the hood scoope and refrain from touching the hood for about an hour after the car is shut off. this is a problem if i am going to have work done on the car.
