Tl contact owns a 1999 plymouth breeze. after driving approximately 40 mph for two minutes, the vehicle caught fire when it was parked. the vehicle had previously been parked all day. the front end of the vehicle was melted. there was no prior failure or warnings. the vehicle was towed to an impound lot. the fire department extinguished the fire and a police report was filed. the cause of the failure was undetermined. after the fire, the contact received a recall notice for nhtsa campaign id number 06v001000 (steering:hydraulic power assist:hose, piping, and connections). the current and failure mileages were 70,000.
