Consumer's 2000 ford explorer caught fire. consumer stated he would like reimbursement for personal items which were in the vehicle at the time of the fire. prior to the fire, the engine would not start. the consumer received a recall notice regarding a potential fire concerning the speed control deactivation switch. the transmission had been replaced a month earlier.
