Tl contact owns a 2001 cadillac deville. while driving 40 mph, the brake fluid indicator light illuminated. the brake pedal was soft when depressed and brake fluid was added. the contact had to pump the brake pedal in order to stop the vehicle. the dealer stated that the brake line that connected the master cylinder and edcm module was rubbing against the transmission, causing the line to wear and brake fluid to leak. the manufacturer stated that they could not be of assistance and advised the contact to call nhtsa. the current mileage was 78,915 and failure mileage was 78,300.
