1995 OLDSMOBILE AURORA User Comment / Complaint

Tl contact owns a 1995 oldsmobile aurora. while circling the block at 25 mph, the contact noticed smoke coming from under the hood. he pulled over, lifted the hood, and discovered flames. a police officer gave him an extinguisher to put out the fire. the vehicle was destroyed along with all of the wiring under the hood. the vehicle was towed to a junkyard. on october 22, 2007, the contact received a recall notice for nhtsa campaign id number 04v110000 (fuel system, gasoline:delivery:hoses, lines/piping, and fittings). the purchase date, powertrain, and dealer information were unavailable. the current and failure mileages were 80,000.
