1996 FORD THUNDERBIRD User Comment / Complaint

My husband and i are leasing a 2006 jeep commander since nov 2005. i have been involved in 3 separate traffic accidents on may 31 2006, august 8 2006 and september 20 2007. the engine stalled during low speed turns on both august 8 2006 and september 20 2007. i had just left a stop sign on may 31 2006 when my engine stalled in the intersection, resulting in a crash. i was cited for failure to yield on may 31 2006. i wasn't cited on august 8 2006 or september 20 2007, although the police report from the september 20 2007 accident describes a "failure to yield." i have also had ongoing tire pressure issues as well as intermittent brake failure issues. prior to may 31 2006 i had never been involved in a traffic accident nor had i received any traffic citations. i am 48 years old. my vehicle was repaired twice after the first 2 accidents, but i am awaiting contact from the other party's auto insurer before proceeding with the repairs following yesterday's accident. i've brought the 2006 jeep commander in to bud mulcahy's jeep on several occasions. that dealership is now closed.  view

Severe cracks on dashboard right over steering wheel and air bag since about two years ago and are getting worse! looks like i am not alone with this problem! why is no one doing anything about this? does there have to be an injury or death to have this addressed? there are 40 or more complaints about this -- hello! why don't you get it?  view

Struck the vehicle ahead of me at approximately 45 mph in the rear, completely crushing the front my vehicle. none of the air bags deployed! sustained bruises to chest from seat belt, stiff and sore neck and back.  view

I bought a 2006 pontiac g6 with only 6,000 miles on it, after a few days of driving it, i noticed something was wrong with the power steering. it would go completly out and in my information center it would say power steering, then other times it would get very loose to where i would have to pull off the road and turn the car off and restart it. i took it to the dealership, where they kept it overnight, called me the next morning and said they found nothing wrong with it, mind you this happens on a daily basis. i told them to keep it longer. pontiac called back and told me to come pick it up, that they could not get it to duplicate, therefor could find nothing wrong. a week later it goes out completly again, in heavy traffic with my daughter in the car with me, i almost wrecked my car. i immediatley pulled over and called the dealership back, i was told that if i didn't like there service to take it elsewhere, so i did. they had to replace the whole elctronic system in my vehicle. now at 9,600 miles the problem has resurfaced again.  view

Upon purchase of vehicle, over driveway slopes, or other road bumps vehicle has loud popping and clunking noise. vehicle also has popping noise and feeling under feet of driver and passenger while steering at stand still or while driving...vehicle when experiencing road hazards that cause braking action while steering locks up and jolts forward causing loss of control of vehicle for random time amounts. all of these problems have been reported to dealer, taken in for repairs, (3x) each time i have been told problem is fixed, problem can not be duplicated. i drive vehicle home and the problem is either partially better for a couple weeks or not better at all. during the time that vehicle was partially better for a couple of weeks a strut mount was replaced on a vehicle with only 9,000 miles (after the 2nd attempt to discover issue) 3rd attempt only had a steering issue addressed,(i shaft dry and binding) however this has only partially solved the problem. vehicle still pops, clunks and has issue with loss of control over unexpected road hazards while braking.  view

After car is started and put into drive, there is a grinding and clunking noise shifting from first to second gear and will repeat each time the car is started up. metro honda of jersey city, nj has failed/neglected to provide a full diagnosis of my problem after 3 hours of waiting and 5 different people test-driving my car after i specifically requested to be in the vehicle during these test drives to pin point the problem! vehicle is also experiencing a loss of power as well more and more rather than occasional. i shouldn't have to deal with this as me and everyone else have obligations to attend to, especially when i depend on my vehicle to get around.  view

Raised hood of 2004 jeep grand cherokee. had hand on fender while looking in right front wheel well. hood closed without warning, upon apparent failure of gas-strut hood supports, mashing and trapping two fingers between hood and fender. understand from dealer others struck on head upon failure of hood struts.  view
