Tl contact owns a 2003 toyota sienna. while driving 55 mph, the vehicle's hood blew open and damaged the windshield and roof. the contact was able to pull off the road and discovered that the hood latch failed. he felt that the latch was defective. the vehicle was towed to the dealer, however, they were unable to determine the cause of failure. the insurance company is scheduled to evaluate the vehicle. the current and failure mileages were 65,000.  view

Tl contact owns a 2003 honda civic. the contact stated that the passenger side seat belt has locked twice. the release button failed to release the seat belt. she took the vehicle to the dealer and they had to cut the seat belt to free the passenger. the dealer stated that the seat belt was childproof and was not functioning properly. the dealer ordered a new seat belt and will replace the current one. the current and failure mileages were 60,000.  view

2006 bmw r1200rt with rear end failure. customer states that bmw won't give him any information about this problem. he states that the seals are leaking causing the final drive to fail. customer would like information. the consumer stated the problem started when bmw introduced a new maintenance free final drive. which meant the differential oil didn't not need to be changed because the rear end was sealed. yet, a number of rear ends have leaked and caused differential failure.  view

2007 chevy equinox with transmission failure. customer states the vehicle started bucking when it was shifting gears. she stated that the dealer said it was the power steering. she stated the engine and stabilitrak lights illuminated. not long after the consumer picked the vehicle up from the dealer, the vehicle repeated the same noise and the vehicle would not move forward while in drive. the consumer had to drive in reverse to get the vehicle to a safe place  view

2003 ford escape parked in garage located at 7755 sunset drive, elmwood park illinois. vehicle spontaneously burned. the garage was a lofted structure with storage containing 30 years of possessions. the car, garage and personal items were destroyed by the fire. this occurred at 5:00am on a sunday morning after the car had been parked in the garage from the saturday afternoon before.  view

Tl contact owns a 2004 dodge ram. the contact purchased her vehicle fully aware that there was no keyhole on the passenger side. she intended to take the vehicle to a shop to have the keyholes added, but was informed that it could not be done. the contact felt that it was a safety risk being able to only enter through the driver side of the vehicle. the vin, engine size, and number of cylinders were unknown. the current and failure mileages were 59,000.  view

My dashboard on my 2002 dodge ram 1500 is cracking bad and the concern is the wires in my dash will be exposed to the sun. melting wires,short and lights going off at night while driving are the result of this problem.  view

Low beams quit working while driving down the road, high beams still work, noticed that there was a recall on this same exact situation, but vehicle was not included in that recall.  view

Tl contact owns a 1998 mercury grand marquis. after driving 65 mph, the contact noticed fuel leaking from the vehicle. she stated that the intake manifold cracked and she took the vehicle to the ford dealer. the dealer informed her that there was a recall on her vehicle, but they would not honor it because it was only good for seven years. she took the vehicle to an independent dealer and paid $850 for the repair. the vin and engine size were unknown. the current and failure mileages were 113,000.  view
