Tl contact owns a 2004 ford escape. while attempting to accelerate from a stop, the vehicle failed to accelerate for 30 seconds. the dealer stated that the butterfly caused the accelerator cable to stick. the vehicle was repaired in july of 2007 for nhtsa campaign id number 04v574000 (accelerator cable). the failure mileage was 95,000 and current mileage was 100,000.
