1992 EAGLE TALON User Comment / Complaint

Tl contact owns a 1992 eagle talon. the contact received a safety recall notice regarding the automatic transmission. she notified the dealer and they confirmed that her vin was included in the recall, however, they would not perform the repair. they stated that the vehicle was too old and was no longer a ford product. three weeks after she learned of the recall, the vehicle had 151,000 miles. while driving 5 mph, the contact heard a clunking noise and the rear engine locked up. the transfer case caused the engine to stall. the vehicle was towed to her residence and the dealer was notified. the dealer advised her to call chrysler, but they refused her claim. two weeks after speaking with chrysler, they referred her to another dealer. she went to the dealer and dropped off the vehicle, however, chrysler denied her claim and would not repair the vehicle. the vehicle is currently still at the dealer. the recall number was unknown. the current mileage was 151,000 and failure mileage was 150,000.
