Tl contact owns a 2001 ford f-250 sd. while driving 50 mph, the vehicle powered down and stopped operating without warning. the dealer stated that the cam sensor failed (part #: f71z-12k073-a). the dealer installed a new cam sensor. the component failed four more times. there was a nhtsa investigation (action #: pe06011) that was closed with no recall. the current mileage was 98,000 and failure mileage was 300.
