2004 INFINITI G35 User Comment / Complaint

1) no events led to failure, vehicle was properly maintained. hood was opened. 2) hood does not properly close, vehicles hood hinge pivot has bound, causing the corner of the hood near the windshield to rise. this does not comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) no. 219, "windshield zone intrusion." consequence of noncompliance: in the event of a vehicle crash, the hood could be pushed back through the windshield glass, possibly injuring the vehicle occupants. 3) an estimate has been gathered for replacement of both hood hinges. old parts will be available for inspection. i will arrange for vehicle to be available for your inspection at your convenience.
