2004 GMC ENVOY User Comment / Complaint

The problem was first noticed in november of 2006 when i received a speeding ticket, i was not speeding according to my speedometer. the dealership said my speedometer was working properly when in fact it was not. after another stop by police, i took the truck to different dealer and i was told the same thing. i was again stopped on 7/4/2007 for speeding. i removed the gauge cluster and sent it to specmo myself for testing and specmo found the speedometer defective; wire chaffing and servo motor intermittent shorting, they repaired it.
