Tl* - the contact owns a 2004 gmc canyon pick up truck. the trucks bed cap had a tinted window that caused the driver to crash due to poor visibility. there were no injuries. the dealer stated that the window was standard, a 31% tint was legal in all states. the cap also has a cautionary notice stating that no one should ride in the rear. the manufacturer of the equipment is leer, a division of truck accessories incorporated. the contact has replaced the window with an untinted window to increase visibility; however, he was aware of the safety risk involved. the failure mileage was 32,000. update 04/17/07
