Tl contact owns a 2005 mazda 6. the contact attempted to accelerate from a stop, but the vehicle failed to move. the engine automatically shut off and the vehicle appeared to switch to accessory mode. the lights on the instrument panel illuminated, but the engine was not running. the vehicle was shut completely off and restarted. the vehicle began to operate normally, but the contact stated that the transmission delayed and shifted roughly when turning corners. the vehicle has previously experienced transmission failure, but it never shut off while driving. the current and failure mileages were 22,200.
