Tl contact owns a 2005 mazda mpv. while driving at any speed the contact heard a loud grinding noise while depressing the brake. the dealer was unable to diagnose the failure. the contact stated that the failure occurred since the vehicle was purchased. the grinding sound intensified. the vehicle was inspected by a mechanic, who stated that there was a spring missing on the parking brake. the current and failure mileages were 27,000.
