Engine malfunctioned: ford focus se year 2000. purchased from omar car sales in fremont (510)-770-0107 i thought it was the battery. when i came out of raley's at about 4:50 pm, i could not start my car. it was making a clicking sound only. (1) just had major work some of the timing belt, a motor mount, and spark plugs, all new ford parts were used as replacements. the car had been in excellent condition beforehand. i had only purchased the car a little over a year ago from omar car sales for $6,000.00, and it was running fine till 3 months ago, when the timing belt went then got fixed in one week. one minor problem with an ignition switch was found when i 1st bought the car, also very minor. (2) butch's automotive inc in fremont, 510-793-9883 found problem, (the valve seat inside the engine collapsed and failed, pistons came down, ruined my entire motor including oil on parts in process) i reported it to nhtsa, they said i also needed to contact the dealership, and manufacturer of which i did. nhtsa said that if the dealership didn't do anything, to file a complaint. i spoke with jose in service at fremont ford within 24 hours. he said contact the manufacturer, but the manufacturer tried to claim that there weren't any recalls. i think there are, and if not, i would like a discreet recall started. (3) butch said the cost of repair will be $5,200.00 for all the damages engine wise, plus a re-built engine being installed. i would like all costs reimbursed to me, as this was a safety hazard. had this happened on the freeway, i might have died when other cars crashed into my stalled vehicle. i had recalls done at fremont ford, and my recalls were up to date. butch says he was able to get a newly rebuilt ford engine to newark , ca dealership, and my malfunctioned engine was returned to that dealership. (510)-651-5600. i alerted responsible parties of this matter in ford, local and factory wide.  view

I would like to add my vehicle to the complaint list about the '04 pontiac gto tire wear problem where the front tires contact the struts. i became aware of the problem at 20,000 miles when i was doing my 5,000 mile tire rotation and found both front tires with abnormal wear where the sidewall meets the tread. i brought this to the attention of my dealer and directed them to see other complaints identical to mine as shown on gtoforum.com. they said they new of no service bulletins released yet. i removed the original wheels from the car and replaced them with properly offset ones. the dealer did an alignment and found one wheel was in camber limits and the other was slightly out. both indicated wear, but the one that was out of alignment by .3 degrees was worn down to metal strands. no damage occurred other than that to my original tires and wallet for replacement.  view

The outside automatic adjusting mirror have a mind of their own and have to be reset each time for each driver they are programmed to. once adjusted, you may look to change lanes and find they are not anywhere near where they were adjusted. i have come close to having a number of accidents due to this problem. the dealer reprogrammed the mirrors and they continue to do the same thing.  view

Speedometer sticks intermittently while driving. vehicle is a 2003 chevy suburban z71. internet search finds that this is a common occurrence with these vehicles. can not accurately adjust speed for safe driving which results in a hazard to other drivers.  view

Tl*- the contact stated that while driving the 1999 chevrolet suburban at approximately 5-10 mph the abs engaged and vehicle wont stop immediately. the contact stated this generally happened when he was preparing to stop. the vehicle was taken to a mechanic ,who agreed that the abs engaged when it should not have been. the vehicle had not been repaired. the contact stated that there was a recall for this problem. however, it covered the 2000 chevrolet suburban. the manufacturer informed the contact that this vehicle was not included in the recall. the vehicle currently had 100,000 miles.  view

1999 ford taurus customer has concern about recall 04v332000 * the left front coil spring failed and punctured the tire. the consumer discovered a recall, however when he called the dealership, he was told his vehicle was included in the recall, but his vehicle was over the mileage limit.  view

Noise from engine compartment and vibration from steering wheel. sounds as if power steering pump was low on fluid. makes a load noise when steering became difficult to steer. drove short distance to repair facility and was shocked that the high pressure hoses had split. also the rack and pinion steering will have to be rebuilt if possible if not replaced. also a boot was torn and has to be replaced. work has not been started as i find it is necessary to get more than one estimate. the local garage wants in excess of $1200 for the repairs while the dealer wants over $2000. approximately 12 months ago i had the upper ball joints replaced under warranty and had to get a front end alignment at an extra charge. no visual signs of wear was noticed.  view

Electrical problems, stalling, air bag light and even car shut off on the freeway. after only two weeks the car started with electrical problems; the right head lamp kept burning, the car was at the shop for two weeks for repair. on 5/24/06 the car was in the shop again for electric problems with the air bag light, there was already a recall on this problem and the repair was done to it. on 08/15/06 the car was taken in for multiple electrical and engine problems, the car had previously stopped in the middle of the freeway, had a stalling problem, the radio would scan back and forward for a station by it-self when the a/c or the traffic light came to use, also the battery went dead. the car was at the shop for two days and many repairs were performed, unfortunately this time the dealer did not provide a written repair description, (but i have a copy of the complaint invoice). now, 03/02/2007 and with 27700 miles the car started to produce all the above problems and i will take the car for a 4th repair on monday 03/05/2007. i already called kia's consumer service 800-333-4542 to request a lemon exchange or refund.  view

From the date i picked up the car, the brakes gave off a "moan". this is a recognizable noise, as a brake problem. this occurs mostly in colder weather but is loud and particularly evident when i first take the car out of the garage in the morning when backing up. i have had it back to the dealer at least 5 times for this problem. the dealer has worked with the manufacturer, changes the components to no avail. the manufacturer has washed their hands of the problem but the noise is still there.  view

Tl*- the contact stated that the 2003 mercedes clk 500, had a blowout on the rear passenger tire. this happened on a cold clear day while driving at 65 mph. he tire dealership informed her that there was nail in the tire, but not in the section of the blowout. the tire was a bridgestone potenza. the tire was purchased 21/2 months ago. this blowout split on the opposite side of the nail. the contact will submit the tire size with the hard copy and she still had the old tire that blew out. the contact stated that there was no warranty for the tire. the vehicle currently had 72000 miles.  view

I purchased a 2005 mercury mariner 7/24/2006at anaheim lincoln mercury and they were shut down. i have gone to many fords & they will not help me cause the they don't have start date of warranty. i only have 17,0000 miles on this car and my air bag light goes on & off. also my tires have serious problem i had to buy 2 myself the first 2000 miles the tire r wearing so bad now once again.  view

Tl*- the contact owns a 2004 jeep grand cherokee and stated that the dealer had not performed the recall repairs for the vehicle heat seat element. the contact had been dealing with the dealer for over a year in a half, and they had told her that there were no any parts available. the contact did not know what steps to take . the failure mileage was 26000, and the current mileage was 38000.  view

The door locks on my 2000 dodge dakota have failed to work. they lock but do not unlock from the inside. they have been repaired 2 times and have failed a third . i was told the door latch/lock assembly is the part that is failing also the central timer module is also in need of replacement. the doors will unlock from outside with the remote but will not unlock from the inside.  view

We bought a new 2003 land rover discovery ii from land rover of milford, ct in 12/03. we have changed the oil faithfully every 3,000 miles and had the necessary services done and were at 44,724 miles. we were driving home from vt a month ago and the oil light went on. i immediately stopped and checked the oil, which was full. i turned on the car and the engine immediately started making a strange sound. i called land rover roadside assistance and our warranty had expired 28 days prior to this. we had it flat bedded home to connecticut immediately. then we had it flat bedded to the dealership. the oil pump had blown and the engine had seized. at first they said they would not pay for it as it was no longer under warranty. i did extensive research on the internet regarding this problem and found out there was a problem with the oil pumps on the 03 discovery models and in fact there was a technical recall for that year. when we asked the service manager about that, he said that if it was a faulty oil pump it would have blown by 20,000 miles and not gone to 44,000 miles. we sent them documentation of all the services we have had done on the car and they agreed to pay for half of the cost of the engine. we still don't have a car, as they have still not received an engine. (and they did not offer us a loaner car for the interim). now today i was doing further research and found on the edmunds website 3 other 03 discovery it's with 40,000, 57,000 and 60,000 miles on the engines that had the exact same thing happen. so obviously it is a manufacturing defect if it is happening to so many cars. and that is just the ones we know about on the edmunds website forum.  view

I have a holiday rambler vacationer motor home with a workhorse chassis there is a recall nhtsa # 06v22700 for an instrument cluster panel, which was replaced on my vehicle, that continues to blank out intermintantly causing the panel to go dark at night, buzzing alarm, and all the guages to reset. i have called workhorse 3/2/07 to report that the condition continues, but they stated that they are still working on a fix. it is three years since the condition started how long are we to wait? is it possible that the replacement panel was also bad? can the nhtsa board help me with this matter? thank you for your consideration.  view

Car stalled out in december 06 and battery replaced. stalled again in march 07 and have been told the timing belt broke and new engine needed at only 81,000 miles. tried to see if used engine available and was told none could be found because this was typical to the intrepid. also told a new engine cost and labor is about $3500. we owe $4400 and pay $163 every month with two years left to pay. were already on the brink of foreclosure on our home and we were struggling to make these car payments, we willl struggle to pay for a car that we can not even drive. i will be contacting the dealership who should have been aware of these complaints from what i've read here, and i will be contacting chrysler who really needs to stand behind there product!no wonder everyone is going foreign!to the ceo's, enjoy those huge homes and paychecks while the rest of us pay for chrysler's mistakes!my brother died in a chrysler when he was 20 years old because of a steering default!this was 23 years ago, i really should have known better!!!!i'm very glad to see from these complaints that few are getting killed from this engine defect. lucky for chrysler,they don't have to pay up!even more lucky for the owners of these cars and anyone driving around them when they stall!!!  view

Drivers seat ( power adjustable type) broke the plastic clip for the raise lower motor causing the seat to be throne backward and in turn causing an unsafe driving condition. i myself am an ase certified master mechanic and cannot believe a piece of linkage made out of plastic was put in such a place to experience those types of load forces. the seat has had a little slack in it since i have owned it, and it has stayed about the same up until it just gave way.  view

Since we purchased this van in 2001 we have had a problem with it not wanting to run, at first it was intermittent, but now it is just sitting at the shop. we have taken it in to the dealer 6 times, and to 2 other mechanics 4 times and finally may have found that it is the body control module. we have already spent thousands of dollars on this van and now they want another $1000 that we do not have. i have been reading lots of complaints on the computer concerning this part of the vehicle, why is there no recall for this???  view

I am currently the owner of a 2007 le 4 cylinder camry. at approximately 76k miles my trans started acting funny as if it did not want to pull and was leaking trans fluid. upon taking it to the dealership, i was told that there was a very bad leak (which may have resulted in a bad/defective seal) and that before any further work could be done it needed to be taken care of. the next day i was told that the pump was damaged, as well as, the torque converter. he also stated that the parts needed to be replaced or replace the whole trans. either way i'm looking at a 4k bill which i can't afford and the vehicle is no longer under warranty. i called toyota's customer service number and to no avail i was told that they could not help me.  view

I was in a drive through which looped around the building. i applied the brake to stop at the window and could feel the abs engage and the vehicle did not want to stop. it scared me and of course i reapplied the brake quickly, to avoid hitting the vehicle in front of me, and i was finally able to stop. this happened again a few weeks later at a large intersection at a red light. i was 7 months pregnant at the time and was pretty scared. i have heard several of these complaints and i know that the brakes on every year before this were recalled. i also had trouble with the brake lights and four-ways, which stopped working. i was driving and the four ways came on. i had to pull over and ended up holding the button down while i drove in order for them to stop flashing. shortly after the turn signals stopped working. finally, the speedometer temporarily stopped working, then shortly after that, the heat stopped working, the vehicle only blowing cold air. we replaced the thermostat but the heat still would not function. i ended up getting rid of the vehicle because of the numerous malfunctions.  view

I own a 2006 toyota rav4 limited. the digital radio controls occaisionally become inactive and the display goes blank or becomes illegible. when this happens the only contol that works is the mode and volume button on the steering wheel. the problem corrects itself when the vehicle is shut off and then restarted.  view

I brought my 2003 passat glx sedan into dealership because car was jerky when the brakes were applied. car has 41,214 miles on it, 90% highway. dealer informed me that the rear brake rotors were warped and had to be replaced along with pads. dealer informed that passat rotors could not be turned in lieu of replacement. from other complaints i view, it appears this is a defect in the rotors.  view

The high beam headlamp assemblies on my 2006 volkswagen jetta tdi are designed in a manner that i feel is extremely dangerous. the design of these headlamps is such that the high beams cannot be adjusted independently of the low beams. when the low beams are aimed correctly, the high beams are aimed far too high to be effective. this headlamp design could most definitely result in an accident and i do not understand how they are even consistent with the dot lighting code.  view

Vehicle was fairly cool having only traveled about a mile from home. after being stopped at a busy intersection, my car died while accelerating into the intersection. after i stopped the vehicle and switched on my hazard lights, i was able to restart the vehicle without a problem. had this been a time when my vehicle wouldn't start for 10 minutes, this could have created a major traffic problem. fortunately, no one was injured.  view

Around 40,000 miles on odometer, a thunk could be heard when turning steering wheel left. dealership where car was purchased could not determine cause. at 45,000 miles on odometer, took vehicle to 2nd dealership who knew of a technical bulletin - rack and pinion steering unit was failing.  view

I am the original owner of this 2000 volkswagen beetle. on july 30, 2001 (mileage 20013) i complained to my dealership that the air bag light was on all the time while driving. they reconnected the wire under the drivers seat stating it was loose, poor fit. on november 15, 2002 (mileage 33164) i complained again that the air bag light was on all the time. they inspected and found two misc. codes reset and tested, said all is ok at this time. on september 3, 2003 (mileage 41463)i complained that the air bag light was on all the time, again. dealership tested and said i needed d/d air bag, harness and seat belt replaced at a cost of $675.00. i declined repair and called volkswagen. on november 5, 2003 vw said they would repair this problem free of charge for customer "goodwill". on july 19, 2005 (mileage 61130) i complained that the air bag light was once again on all the time. dealership repositioned connector for drivers side air bag and stated if it comes on again will need new air bag. on november 20, 2006 (mileage 73661) once again i complained that the air bag light was on all the time while driving. i was told i needed a new drivers seat air bag, harness with rewire to control at a cost of $1040. once again i called volkswagen and this time i was told sorry, there is nothing they can do to help me. this has been an on going problem with my vehicle and specifically a huge safety issue. please advise if there is any help you are able to offer.  view

Tl*- the contact owns a 2007 yamaha yzfr1. while driving 50 mph in second gear the vehicle took about 6-8 seconds to accelerate. the vehicle was taken to the dealership, who determined that the failure was due to a mapping anomaly. the dealership refused to repair the vehicle ,stating this was a normal occurrence. the vehicle currently had an odometer reading of 2,200 miles.  view

Tl* the contact owns a 2000 chevrolet venture. the rear passenger seat belt buckle would not unlock. the passenger was locked in the rear seat belt due to the latch failure. the fire department had to cut the seat belt webbing to release the passenger. the fuel gauge was reading incorrectly. regardless of the amount of fuel in the vehicle the gauge continuously was reading incorrectly as if the fuel level was full. the current and failure mileage were 132,553.  view

We have a 2003 jeep liberty that has been recalled due to problems with the ball joints. the dealership is informing her that they do not have the parts in stock. the dealership informed the contact that the parts are in back order. it has been 3 months since the client has heard from the dealership. also got hit with an extensive repair bill on the brake system due to corrosion - vehicle has only 32,000 miles on it.  view

I drive a '03 saturn ion and have been having problems for the past year where the car wouldn't start, mostly on cold mornings, and would leave me stuck in different areas of town. most of the time if i waited a couple minutes it would start up with no problem. this past sunday my wife was driving and pulled into the driveway and she couldn't get the car to turn off or turn the key. so now i'm driving around with my key in my ignition and my steering column off so it looks like i stole my car, the only way i can start and stop the car is by plugging and unplugging the ignition switch. i did some research and from what i've read there have been many others that have had the exact same problem and it has ended up costing them hundreds of dollars for an obvious manufacturer defect. i just paid $200 for the ignition cylinder along with the housing unit and i come to realize that i shouldn't have to pay for this at all.  view

Two differential failures within 60,000 miles on my 200 nissan titan. both failure involved wheel seal leaking and loud noises from the differential. my third differential installed by nissan is the same nissan stock number so i expect a failure within a few thousand miles. if i don't trade my titan in before the 12,000 mile warranty on the new differential is up, i will have to pay the $ 3000 + to replace it. i see new stock numbers on the new 2007 models but nissan refused to give me one of those unless i paid for it. bet you can figure that one out. nissan needs to extend the warranty on these differentials.  view

I own a 2000 honda accord se and the srs indicator illuminated causing me to take into my honda mechanic. he ran a diagnostic and discovered a temporary code 09-03 indicates a malfunction in the drivers seat belt switch. this cost me $75. he scanned the engine computer for stored codes and retrieved the temporary code 09-03 occurred 14 times over 157 key cycles. felt problem was very intermittent and reset should last a while or never return. not more than a few days later, the srs illuminated. called mechanic and he said to bring the car in and we will reset; no charge. this back-and-forth continued for a while until it just became completely inconvenient and had to consider how to fix. options were to: 1) replace the seat belt buckle on an educated guess with no guarantee this will solve the problem. cost: $250. 2) continue the test procedures they have and remove seat and disassembling the seat cover to inspect the seat belt wiring, again with no guarantee. cost: $225. i have not selected either option as i feel it is a honda defect and should be covered by them.  view

In the spirit of being proactive; i will like to share a possible major safety concern with all new 2007 mazdaspeed 3 cars. for the last couple of months i have been observing on various web forums a disturbing trend of the possibility of the driver side motor mount bolt coming loose causing the motor to fall while driving. i'm informing the nhtsa in hopes that an investigation will encourage mazda into a recall/tsb before this issue causes a serious injury/fatality. thank you for your attention in this matter.  view

On my 2000 ford windstar my airbag light has been coming on and flashing a code. i asked a friend that works at the local dealership what this code meant and i was informed that there is a short in my passenger side airbag. i said something to my local mechanic and he told me that at a conference he attended they were told that on safety equipment like airbags there is an extended warranty. i went to my local dealer and asked the shop manager about the extended warranty on airbags and they told me there is no such thing and they are covered the same as the vehicle warranty which is 60,000 miles. as of today my van has about 118,000 miles on it so i am well beyond the warranty. is there an extension of the warranty on safety equipment? i was also wondering since this is a short in my passenger side airbag can that airbag deploy without being in a crash. i ask this because my teenage daughters sit up front with me all the time and i would hate for it to explode in their face without any warning, just because i wasn't able to get the short fixed.  view

Over two weekends in a row in december, my car failed to start after sitting idle for no more 3 days. i took it in to two different dealers (one for each event) and they couldn't find the problem. each dealer questioned if i had put it in reverse as instructed, and since i've had the car almost 2.5 years, i told both of them clearly i know the procedure to follow.  view

(1) car shuts itself off while i was driving down the freeway. during@ rush hour i veered away ( w-no power to car ),from traffic behind me. parked ,shut car off, took key out of ignition, then replaced and started it back up, and proceeded enroute. (2) after market cruise control failure to shut off and turn on. (3) result of above (2)after market cruise control takes its own mind and decides to fully accelerate until gearing down in hopes it 'awakes' the computer (automatic transmission),then cruise control will finally shut off. (consequence ) passenger had a heart attack. i called a taxi. "he's ok" (4) service air bags light have been on since 20,k miles i now have 47,xxx miles. (5)stock tires and rims wobble with irritating continous noises -can't ge rid of it. (6) stock seats driver and passenger sides both were installed incorrectlythey are really slantedlike this ( / ). (7) a clunking bucket sounding noise fills very slowly, (health problems) an odor is always present leaving me light headed ,nautious while driving, dizzy exiting car,and with breathing problems -like shortness of breath. i have severe back problems now, and can not sit in the car for more than 20 min, upon a break of fresh air and a walk for the spine. (8) brakes sound and feel (when applied),scratchy.@5,000 miles the chevy dealership had to turn and shave allready my disc brakes saying they were worn in. (9) my heater makes a lot of noises when using it. (10) acceleration hesitation.  view

2006 4.7 v8 jeep commander has had multiple problems, the most severe being 3 (out of 7) inoperable seatbelts and sporadic stalling of the vehicle. the first 8 - 10 times the vehicle stalled (went dead), i was at a stopped position attempting to accelerate. the most recent incident happened as i was driving in traffic. i lost all power steering and brakes when the vehicle died. i was going up a slight incline which assisted me in stopping and i put the vehicle in neutral and restarted. i have refused to drive the vehicle since that time out of safety concerns for my children and for others on the road. the dealership has attempted to correct the problem on 4 occasions - nothing has worked. the chrysler corporation refuses to buy-back the vehicle because the dealership has not duplicated the problem in the shop. i have witnesses to the occurrences and have documented each time it has happened.  view

Tl* - the contact called stating that he took 2002 chevrolet avalanche 1500 to the dealership on 09/29/05 for wheel inspection, at the time the vehicle's odometer read 59,289 miles. an inspection was done with invoice stating wheel sensor and inc. cleaning was done. the contact stated that he felt that they didn't apply zinc/x to the sensor during inspection. the vehicle malfunctioned on 11/13/06 while he was pulling into the driveway and the vehicle didn't stop once the brakes were applied. the contact stated the vehicle damaged the garage door. the contact took the vehicle back to dealership on the next day, and was shown that the wheel speed sensor was not in its proper place and it was rusted. the dealership told the contact that the rear wheel brake dust covers were rusted and they needed to be repaired before they would fix the problem. also, he was having brake problems. the contact stated that on several occasions he had to use emergency brakes to stop the vehicle. the contact stated that he did his own research on his vehicle and found a recall 05v379000 for 2002 chevrolet avalanche for the service brakes, hydraulic: anti-lock. the contact informed the dealership of this recall, and was told that they would not repair the recall until he replaced the wheel speed sensor. the dealer would not fix the wheel speed sensor issue, if the consumer didn't have the rear brake backing plate replaced at his expense. updated 01/29/07.  view

(the pulling is coming from the transmission). i am a single mother of two and i feel real bad about getting stuck with a lemon. after i get out of school i take classes at night and my kids go to the daycare on campus when i picked them up after class, got in the car, started it up, and the front two windows rolled down by themselves, and would not roll up and it was snowing and we had to ride all the way home like that. the dealership doesn't care. as far as they are concerned, it is not their problem. it is a messed up world we live in where someone knows that you really need a car and they screw you with a lemon. until this present day, all these problems described still exist but so do me and my son-3 and my daughter-6 if anybody can help, it would be greatly appreciated. thank you.  view

I purchased 2 cooper lifeliner touring sle size 215/ 65r-15. they complete unraveled within one week of each other. one was replaced as my daughter was headed on a 350 mile trip back to her college town, and the other i still have disintergrated on her way home from college. she could have been seriously injured if they were on the front instead of the back. i could not believe it it came apart right down to the steel belt.  view

I have had to replace 2 door handles in a year due to them breaking off in your hand with routine use, these are cheap plastic handles with no apparent metal reinforcement. i have owned many vehicles and never had door handles just snap off like this. i am currently contacting the dealer for a 3rd replacement handle. this is a serious safety issue since in an emergency if the handles break then there is no access to the vehicle for rescue other then breaking windows. updated 02/22/07.  view

2003 gmc envoy with a list of problems ** the consumer began to hear a knocking and pinging in the engine on cold starts and felt a hesitation when the automatic transmission shifted into gear. after many complaints, it was finally discovered the engine knock was due to shorter pistons in the re-designed engine and the hesitation in the transmission shifting required reprogramming. the consumer was told he would have to live with the engine knock, because it could be more trouble taking the engine apart. on a separate occasion, the engine stalled due to the battery dying. from april 2004 to october 2004 the battery failed several times and had to be re-charged. during that same time the engine light illuminated and each time it happened, the dealer would have to reprogram the engine computer. the radio was not functioning properly which primarily consisted of static. the driver information center control knobs as well as the radio knobs wore out. the front center console was loose. it was discovered that the engine light was coming on because the third stop light that's on the top of the liftgate malfunctioned. there was a short circuit in the stop light. the cooling fan broke, the brakes and the left front head lamp had to be replaced. the rear tail lights, directional and signal lights have been replaced several times. the lug nut broke while a replacement tire was being mounted on the vehicle. the front stabilizer linkage was replaced. the gas tank had to be replaced along with the fuel lines and a seal on the tank due to a leak. the seat belt was designed poorly and the belt cuts into the consumers neck. the drivers side door didn't close properly, the windshield wipers were replaced within the first 2 years.  view

On or about september 26, 2004, purchased a 2004 kia amanti. since that time, the vehicle has undergone a multitude of problems, many of which kia has been unable to fix. since its purchase, the vehicle has exhibited air conditioning problems, electrical circuit problems, battery problems, water leaks, recurring engine light problems and, most recently, shaking and lurching issues which have rendered the vehicle unsafe to operate. although some of these issues were rectified, it appears that the vehicle continues to exhibit additional problems one right after another. in fact, the rear brake light and windshield leak required six separate visits to ontario kia due to the fact that kia could not locate the source of the problem. although the car is still relatively new, dr. oh has already purchased a car battery, two brakes, and four new tires (excluding other repair costs not covered by warranty). over the course of the past month, the air conditioning unit fails to operate satisfactorily. over the course of the past several weeks, dr. oh has continued to drive the vehicle notwithstanding the air conditioning problems and the continuous shaking and bouncing issues.  view

I own an 05 kia sedona, bought new, has had brake problems from the beginning. the dealer, that services - not the one i bought from, has serviced the vehicle from the first, told me that the manufacturer was working on getting replacement parts and that as soon as they came out i would be one of the first to receive the part. now, my warranty has expired and i am having to cover the cost of replacing the parts every 3-4000 miles when i get oil changes and the dealer says they cannot cover it any longer because the warranty has expired. i am concerned because i have had transmission issues (that the dealer cannot "find the problem") they say that if a problem occurs they will cover fixing it because it's been ongoing but that's what i was told about the brake problem. the brakes are so bad that the whole van shakes and doesn't feel like the brakes are grabbing or are going to stop the vehicle and my children are learning to drive in the van.  view

On or about september 26, 2004, purchased a 2004 kia amanti. since that time, the vehicle has undergone a multitude of problems, many of which kia has been unable to fix. since its purchase, the vehicle has exhibited air conditioning problems, electrical circuit problems, battery problems, water leaks, recurring engine light problems and, most recently, shaking and lurching issues which have rendered the vehicle unsafe to operate. although some of these issues were rectified, it appears that the vehicle continues to exhibit additional problems one right after another. in fact, the rear brake light and windshield leak required six separate visits to ontario kia due to the fact that kia could not locate the source of the problem. although the car is still relatively new, dr. oh has already purchased a car battery, two brakes, and four new tires (excluding other repair costs not covered by warranty). over the course of the past month, the air conditioning unit fails to operate satisfactorily. over the course of the past several weeks, dr. oh has continued to drive the vehicle notwithstanding the air conditioning problems and the continuous shaking and bouncing issues.  view

This complaint is about a saftey issue with the 2007 harley davidson road king i purchased in dec 2006. the bike has a very loud clatter emitting from the engine, sounds like the valve train or transmission. it appears that this problem has the attention of many 2007 owners with late 2006 production release motorcycles. the bikes also run very hot and are not ridable in weather over 70 degrees. im concerned that there is possible mechanical failure eminent wich could result in fatal consequences. halrey davidson customer service proclaims that there is nothing wrong and will not take responciblity for these problems. they did issue a tourqe smoothing recalibration that did nothing fr the loud clatter emitting from the engine, and ultra hot temps. we need your help.  view

I have made many inquiries into having my heated seats on my 2004 jeep grand cherokee since sept 06 as per recall. i have made two appointments and half a dozen calls to the dealership scap chrysler jeep, only to be told it will be a couple of weeks, or you are on the list. the repair is not done.  view
