1990 CHRYSLER IMPERIAL User Comment / Complaint

Tl* the contact owns a 1990 chrysler imperial. while driving 10 mph and attempting to apply the brakes the brake pedal did not engage ,and the anti-lock and brake light came on. the vehicle began to slide and did not stop immediately for approximately 2 seconds. the failure mileage was 61,389, and the current mileage was 72,000. the dealer on 07/07/03 stated that the brake auxiliary seal and the pump motor needed to be replaced. the contact called the manufacturer, and they stated that the vehicle would not fall under nhtsa recall campaign id 96v099000 concerning service brakes, hydraulic: antilock.
