When the brakes were applied they resisted, resulting in extended stopping distance, causing the vehicle to collide into another vehicle. the dealer has been notified.

Tl* - the contact owns a 2004 saturn vue. the hazard light switch wasn't working. when pressing the hazard button didn't release or come out. the contact stated that he had to replace this button on two occasions at his own expense. the current mileage was 28,720. the failure mileage was 25,209. updated 2/27/2007 -  view

Tl*- the contact owns a 2003 jeep liberty. there was a recall for the lower ball joints. the dealer advised her that there were not enough parts to repair the vehicle, and placed her on a waiting list. she also spoke to the manufacturer, and there wasn't anything they could do to assist her. the current mileage was 68,000. the contact hasn't experienced any failures to date. updated 02/27/07/.  view

Tl* - the contact called regarding recall 06v288000 for the 2002 jeep liberty concerning the lower ball joints. the contact stated he has been waiting approximately 1 1/2 months for the lower ball joint part. the dealer advised the contact he will be called when the part arrived. the vehicle has approximately 62,000 miles. the contact has not experienced any problems with the vehicle to date. updated 2/27/2007 -  view

Tl*- the contact stated that in an attempt to start the 1999 dodge caravan the driver's side recliner handle broke off. the vehicle was taken to the dealer for repair, but the dealer did not repair the vehicle. the contact stated that there was a recall on other vehicles for this same driver seat recliner bolt problem. updated 2/27/2007 -  view

Tl* - the contact called regarding the 2000 pontiac grand prix. the contact parked the vehicle and approximately 10 minutes later he was notified that the vehicle was on fire. there were no warning indicators that anything was wrong with the vehicle. the contact stated that the fire department extinguished the fire. it was contained to the hood area of the vehicle. the contact stated there had not been any recent repair work on the vehicle. there were no injuries. the insurance company took pictures of the vehicle. the vehicle was towed to a salvage yard. the failure mileage was 106,000. updated 2/27/2007 -  view

Tl* - the contact owns a 2002 ford explorer. the contact stated that the transmission failed. the dealer told him that he had lost the third gear. the gear would slip instead of engaging. the contact stated that the vehicle would shake the steering wheel really badly, and feel as if it was pulling away from him. this normally happened between 0 -29 mph, and that when the vehicle reached 30 mph it would level out and drive normally. the contact stated that the vehicle was doing this for approximately three months. the contact stated that weather was not a factor. the contact stated that this happened every day. the failure mileage and the current mileage were both 40000.  view

Tl* - the contact owns a 2000 mercury marquis. the contact stated that there was a safety recall, but in actuality it was a safety bulletin on the windshield wiper module. the dealer and manufacturer stated that there was no safety recall on the windshield wiper module. as soon as reaching 70 mph the windshield wipers started rumbling as if something was loose. if the weather was poor the visibility was diminished. the contact stated that had done this since the purchase date. the contact had replaced the windshield wiper blades three times with expensive wiper blades, but it did not remedy the failure. thae failure mileage was 50,000 and the current mileage was 83,360.  view

Tl*- the contact had difficulty seeing out of the 2006 toyota camry solara's rearview mirror because the head restraint was blocking the view. the contact called manufacturer to see if they could install the head restraint that was on the 2007 toyota camry solara which was different from the headrest she had in her vehicle, but manufacturer stated they could not do that. the only option the manufacturer gave her wasto trade in the vehicle. the current mileage was 2600.  view

Tl*- the contact stated that the 2004 kia amanti sd's airbag light had been turning on and off for over a year. on 01/13/06 the air bag light turned on and stayed on. t he took the vehicle to the dealership, and was informed that the air bag needed to be removed to check the pin tension. the contact stated that the remedy worked for about ten days. he took vehicle back to dealership, and they ordered a new clockspring and an air bag module ,and that worked for about three weeks, before the light turned on again. the contact stated that the air bag light didn't turn on for about 4 months. he contacted the dealership, and again and they replaced the clockspring. he stated that the light turned on again about 2 months later and the dealership adjusted the pin tension, and rerouted the airbag harness and plugs. that lasted for six months, and the light airbag light turned on again 02/27/07. the contact called the dealership again, and they reprogrammed the history code. this has occurred on too many occasions, and felt that the air bag may not deploy if a crash occurred. he contacted the manufacturer to file a complaint and was given case# 1213689. the contact stated that his first failure the vehicle had 7,301 miles and the current mileage was 11,056 miles. all repairs orders were available. updated 04/12/07.  view
