While driving about 15 mph the driver's side seat back collasped backwards. the bolts completely sheared off. vehicle was left at dealership.  view

Brake pulsation from 40 mph and above, severity increases with speed, extended stopping distance for a 30,000 pound vehicle. burning smell coming from brakes when stopped.  view

I started the van and left the driver's door open to run inside the house to get something. when i came back the van was rolling backward across the neighbor's yard. because the door was open it was ripped backward as it left the garage and hit the side of the garage door. it had rolled off a retaining wall which pulled the front bumper off. it was still rolling across the neighbor's yard when we finally caught it. when i got in the van it was still in park. thankfully no one was hurt.  view

After already replacing my transmission once, i have to again due to another failure. the car has 125,000 miles and so far i have been out $2,900 just on prior repairs and am facing another $2,500.  view

A chevy silverado tailgate releases at the latch and drops without provocation. the consequences are a sudden loud noise and the dropped tailgate opens releasing cargo onto roadway. this failure is not precipitated by any unusual road surface or bump.  view

2002 highlander driver side sun visor falls down unexpectedly while driving and at times will not remain in the up position, thus hindering view at times.  view

Dodge durango's with two wheel anti-lock brake system problems* the rear brakes locked which caused the axle to bounce severely. the back of the vehicle started swerving to the side. the rear axle bounce and the vehicles instability seemed to reduce the effectiveness of the front brakes. the ultimate result was a very slight bumper impact with a semi-trailer.  view

During rapid acceleration, while stopping, brakes required excessive pressure, and could feel "chattering" in brakes & then a loss of braking power. vehicle would not stop like it suppose to; slow response time.  view

After purchasing new vehicle - a 2007 buick rendezvous - we found that the side mirrors (outside) of the rendezvous are so huge that they completely block out pedestrians, cars, and even semi-truck size vehicles, when making turns. this is a great hazard that needs to be fixed, before a pedestrian is hit and injured/killed.  view

The dash had begun pulling away and coming unglued about a year ago. i found that this is a problem with this model year. when i spoke with the dealer they said it was not part of a recall. i have the extended warranty called major guard that they said is not covered. it has continued to rumple and bubble up. i am the only owner. it is a defect that no one wants to address. especially, since my extended warranty will be up with in a year.  view

I own a 1998 dodge ram 1500 sport 4x4 quad cab truck and the dashboard is cracked terribly. now i've spoken to a lot of ram owners and have visited many dodge dealerships and they say this is a common problem with these trucks. as you are aware the dash also houses important components of the airbag safety system. something needs to be done about this problem. the cost to replace this dash is very high.  view

2001 chevy s-10 four cylinder automatic appeared to be dead. when key inserted and turned over there were no lights on dash. after it sat a few seconds i attempted to restart engine. all dash lights and gauges appeared to come on. the radio was reset to 1:00 as if all systems had went dead. there was a whining noise coming through into the cab of the truck and all the dash lights seemed to flicker. this has happened three times in the last four days. all instances are for just a few seconds and then everything appears to be okay on the restart except that the clock has always reset to 1:00. the last instance today occurred as i started the truck and left a parking space. i got about 50 feet and the vehicle died and coasted to a stop with all dash lights inoperative. when i turned key off for just a few seconds and then attempted to restart again everything came back on and the clock was reset to 1:00.  view

My 2002 subaru has gas fumes in the cabin whenever the weather is cold. the colder the weather the stronger the fumes. subaru is aware of the issue, the have a bulletin on this very issue, however the dealer refuses to cover this issue. over the phone the service manager was confident that subaru would not cover this issue. he informed me that it was just fumes leaking. knowing a little about how gasoline is ignited, i know that the fumes are what combustion, and that is what i am concerned about. if subaru is so concerned about safety, one would thing that explosive fumes would be on their list. however both subaru of america, and subaru of annapolis did nothing to reassure me that this would be covered. when i called subaru of america again, they told me to contact another dealer and see what they would do. this is the last subaru i will every buy!  view

I have a 2006 mitsubishi endeavor. two months ago the car turned off while i was driving down the street. there were no warning lights to indicate there was a problem. upon inspection it was discovered that my timing belt had broken. mitsubishi refused to honor the warranty because they said that the belt broke due to the oil shield being moved during an oil change. the oil shield is next to the timing belt and it rubbed against it causing the belt to break. i have made complaints with the california dept of consumer affairs and with the mitsubishi organization. the situation is still under investigation, but i have a wonderful auto insurance service (automobile club of southern calif aaa) and they are repairing my car and investigating to determine who is really at fault and they are going to recover their funds from them. it was very disheartening to know that i did not do anything for this to happen, yet mistubishi refused to honor a warranty on a car that i had only had for 7 months and that only had 28000 miles on it. needless to say i will be trading it in as soon as i get it back and will never buy another mitsubishi vehicle.  view

Internal binding of the floor shift assembly of my 2006 chevy cobalt with automatic transmission prevented the key from being removed from the ignition. also the push button latch on the top of the shifter was stuck inside the shifter causing the shifter to freely move from park to drive without the button being pushed. i took the car to sands chevrolet and the shifter was replaced under warranty with part number 15926820.  view

Passenger's and driver's automatic lap/shoulder belt red release button sticks, and the retractor does not function properly. also, will not release the belt when it is under tension, causing a person to become trapped into the seat.  view

I purchased my pontiac gto used with aprox 17,000 miles on the odometer. i was aware of the "strut rub" issue before purchasing and noticed the stock setup of tires on, and brand new. around 10,000 miles later, i took the car in for a rotation after some vibration and noticed extreme wear on the drivers side and worse on the passenger side where the strut had cut clean through the belts on the inside edge. it was no doubt in my mind that the strut rubbing caused this issue as per visual inspection of said strut, you noticed that the paint was worn off, tire marks were clear, and the belts had marred the metal of the strut. had i not been proactive and checked the tires periodically there would have been no doubt that the tire would have blown out and the consequences of that to follow.  view

I am the owner of a 2003 gmc envoy. there is currently a recall on some 2003 gmc envoys regarding a turn signal defect nhtsa campaign id number 05v198000. with 286,478 potential vehicles affected. i took my car in and it is not within the vin range of affected vehicles. although my vehicle doses indeed have the intermittent incorrect turn signal problem, gmc is refusing to have it fixed because of my vin.  view

My saturn ion (2003) has had a lot of problems this winter with intermittent starts. i try to start the car in the morning, and it just won't crank over. i have missed work, and been stranded in the freezing cold. a recall needs to be issued on the starter switch. i have had multiple diagnostic tests done, and had the battery replaced. i cannot afford a $200 repair on something that should be replaced by saturn. this is a case of negligence.  view

Ford offered an extended warranty, 7 years or 100,000 miles because of head gasket problems. the consumers vehicle has 43,000 miles but the 7 years expired in march. on april 22 the vehicle was diagnosed with a blown head gasket. ford will not remedy the problem.  view

Approximately every 10,000 miles, consumer has to have front rotors and front pads serviced and replaced.  view

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 nissan altima ser. the clutch has been repaired on 3 occasions since he purchased the vehicle in august 2006. the clutch pedal stuck to the floor, making a loud noise in the engine ,and the pedal has to be lifted up while driving with his foot. on some occasions the pedal would release in the half way position which mad eit difficult to shift gears. the vehicle was forced into gear when trying to put the vehicle in reverse, the gear was difficult to engage. the driver will contact the manufacturer to inquire about the lemon law. the most recent repair on the clutch was on 01/15/07. the mechanic replaced the clutch assembly with the flywheel, and all of the hydraulic and hose systems. since the repairs the clutch made a loud noise and grinding sound. the current mileage was 7,500. the failure mileage was 2,500.  view

Twice i have had to replace the rear axel seals due to them leaking. when i had the rear axel seals replaced i have also had to replace the rear brakes due to the oil getting on the brakes. i discovered where the seals were all but gone when i had my tires replaced. i was told that i did not have any rear brakes due to so much oil leaking on the brakes. i live in the mountains of nc and i would have lost my brakes if i was hauling anything down the mountains.  view

I recently received notification of a safety recall for my 2004 jeep liberty with regard to the lower ball joints. the problem is that water may enter into the front suspension lower ball joints on my jeep. this can cause the ball joint to corrode and separate. ball joint separation can result in a loss of steering control and could cause a crash without prior warning. i contacted my dealership in order to get the part ordered and line up an appointment to have the repairs completed. the dealership was contacted on 01/24/07..the day after i first received notification of the safety issue. they informed me that they would order the part and call me to set up an appointment to as soon as the part came in. i had not heard from the dealership, so i called them on 02/13/07 to inquire about the "ordered" part. there was no record of a part being ordered. therefore, i placed the order again on that day and asked if someone could call me back to give me an idea of when i could be scheduled for an appointment and how long it would take for the part to come in. i have not been contacted since that last call. i was told by the phone attendant at the dealership that the manufacturer is only sending the service area 3 ball joints at a time--and that is why its taking so long for me to be serviced. i asked the attendant how serious was this recall and if i was in any danger. she asked me if my car was operating properly and i told her yes to my knowledge it was, and she told me that i was probably ok. i would really like to know why it is taking so long to have my car serviced and should the dealerships be taking such a cavalier approach to this recall?  view

Consumer states there is high effort to turn the steering wheel and hold the vehicle on the road causing pain in the joints of the hands, wists, elbows and shoulders socket resulting crippling of fingers and arms. he further states in addition to the heavy steering effort is the lack of indentations on the backside of the steering wheels. gm not willing to do anything. the consumer stated he has lost the ability to carry things in his hands.  view

Unexplained electrical activity when the car is unattended. smell of burning plastic/wiring after vehicle has been shut off. clicking/hissing coming from under dash after vehicle has been shut off and key removed. heater, radio will continue to run after key has been removed, has even come on by itself after the vehicle has been left unattended. multiple warning lights flashing for no reason as well as random warning bells.  view

Tl*- the contact stated that upon checking the oil on the 2002 buick lesabre with 46000 failure mileage he discovered that the manifold gaskets were leaking. this had been an ongoing problem. also, had a 1996 oldsmobile delta 88 t with the same problem.  view

2002 honda odyssey purchased used in 2004. from day one noticed random transmission slip. dealer purchased from and honda dealer both checked vehicle. could not get slippage to occur while car was at shop. while starting off from an intersection vehicle would not shift out of 1st gear, rpms raised and lost power,near mis-side impact. took it to honda dealer and was told the transmission was trashed.  view

The inside of front tires rubbing on the struts on my 2004 gto. the tires are wore down to the cords. if i wouldn't have noticed it it would have caused a tire blowout and possibly caused me to crash. i will have to replace the tires and possibly replace the front radius rod bearings, struts and strut mounts,and get an alignment.  view

Dt: the contact stated the accelerator pedal in the vehicle became stuck under the floor mat. the contact stated the floor mats were too big. the vehicle was taken to the dealership and there was nothing that could be done about the problem. the consumer stated the pedals are designed differently now. updated 02/06/07.  view

Front tires rubbing on the struts. noticed after 2 months of ownership. dealership said it was normal wear, and rotated tires. 2 months later it was back. dealer ship would not cover anything. i went to another dealership and paid almost 2 thousand dollars for a new suspension setup. then replaced the tires.  view

2003 saturn ion-3 fails to start in cold weather. this appears to be a known manufacturer defect in the ignition switch. (reference saturn tsb 040845005 of nov 2005 or nhtsa 10007431 of march 2006). it appears that saturn is counting on warm winters to get the cars out of the warranty period (which happened to me) and then hit you with a $40 part and $156 labor charge to fix an item they mis-manufactured.  view

2 weeks after i bought the car, i had reported problems with engine and trans and rear-end. they knew about it, but said they did not have the knowledge to work on a seleen, which that is what i was told i was buying at the time. come to find out it is no. big difference in price. on or about feb 15th 2006 the engine blew, i had parked it in their parking lot. they had my car for a total of 45 days. still no trans work or rear-end, they said to bring it back in 30 days. adding on the linkage was damaged when they had it. i had to pay other shop to fix. along with engine problems, engine light was on. since june of 2006 my car has been in the shop 10 times , totaling 55 more days. rental car cost over 2500.00 and time and mental anguish . luzzi refused me the 2nd time engine blew because the fact i am married to david harding. he is not on any contract with me. they refuse to do any warranty work on the engine they installed 9 months ago. i paid for a warranty with them for 1800.00 and i was cancelled because of the money already paid for the car. 10 months , where's the other 2 year prorated fees? the list goes on and on.  view

The transmission clunks when shifting from 2nd - 3 rd and at times the engine will rev and finally it will take off, this has caused an issue when going through an intersection. the dealership attempted four repairs and it is not fixed. the issue started when the vehicle had 6k miles on it and it is getting worse. the speedometer is sporadic in that it will show speed reduction/increase in segments - as if it were sticking. the erroneous speed indication causes an issue when going too slow or too fast in traffic.  view

Blower motor went out and had no heat in the middle of the winter(5 degrees out and had two toddlers in the car. it is a known manufacturing defect allowing water to get into the blower assembly.  view

4 days ago i noticed that my speedometer arrow was all the way top the right. shut of the car and the needle reset to 30 mph and then it went up as i increased my speed. yesterday it was stuck on 0 even though i was moving. then it worked okay later that evening. later it registered the wrong speed.  view

Purchased a 2007 nissan versa sedan in jan 2007. three weeks later the service engine soon light came on. subsequently while trying to pump gas into the car the gasoline overflowed out the filler neck. car only had 1/4 tank of gas and we could not put any more gas into the tank. took the car to the dealer where they told us that the vent control canister, hoses and drain were frozen solid. technician questioned whether this was a design flaw. still waiting to hear from manufacturer. the valve assy and canister assy were replaced and the hoses were thawed out and re-used. problem solved? we washed the car twice at an automatic car wash where we got the underbody wash. the temperature that week was in the single digits. technician suggested no more automatic car washes till manufacturer decides what to do.  view

Tires showing uneven wear on inside treads...loud in cabin, completely premature and strange tire wear at 19,000 miles. very difficult to locate due to the wear being on the inside treads of all 4 tires.  view

For the past two winters i've had difficulty starting my car on 5 separate occasions. when i went out to start it each time it wouldn't start. i would wait about 10-15 minutes to restart it, and luckily it started. this has caused me to be late on every occasion, all the while braving the freezing cold.  view

My speedometer in my 2003 chevy avalanche is very erratic. it sticks, it says that i am going 40 to 50 mph higher than i am and sometimes it works just fine. i have read about over 400 other owners of gm trucks with the same problem.  view

40,600 miles and i have a rack and pinion fluid leak. i had heard that there was a recall on this and have not been able to locate it on line. i have not taken it to the dealer yet and will do it next week.  view

Fogging of windshield due to improper design of the hvac on my jeep. this si the second time it has broken, with only 55,000 miles on my 99 grand cherokee limited.  view

After starting my pontiac bonneville 2002 the 'air bag' light lit and stayed on. driving normally down the highway at normal speeds, suddenly the passenger side air bag deployed with no warning. car continued to operate normally. dealer has never encountered such a problem where air bag would suddenly deploy under normal driving conditions. long pontiac of framingham, ma replaced the sdm modules and air bag.  view

In crash at 50-55mph at 12:00 position the driver's and passengers' side airbags did not deploy. passengers sustained injuries.  view

I have a 2004 gmc sierra that has a malfunctioning speedometer. it shows reading anywhere from 0-100 mph over what you are traveling at. with the truck turened off - the speedometer will show it at speeds of up to 100 mph. this all started at about the 40,000 mile mark. we previously had a 2004 chevy 5500 truck that too began w/ speedometer trouble at the 40,000 mile range. we know several other people with a 2004 chevy/gmc all of whom have this same problem. checking around the internet and it appears that this is a huge problem that should warrant a recall before something tragic could happen.  view

Purchased 2005 dakota quad cab on 9/30/05. immediately noticed pulsating or shuddering of the brakes when applied at higher rates of speed & when braking on an incline. visited dealership on 10/13/05 & rear drums were turned. visited dealership again on 10/21/05 with the same problem. they found no problem. brakes progressively worsened & returned again to dealership on 11/15/05. dealership ordered parts & we returned to dealership on 12/14/05 & rear brake shoes were replaced. several months passed & brake shuddering returned again. visited dealership again with same complaint on 9/19/06 & the dealer replaced rear brake shoes, brake drums, & rotors. not two months later, the same braking problem returned. after taking the truck in to the dealership on 5 separate occassions without a resolve, we filed for our rights under the florida lemon law. daimler chrysler set up an appt with dealership to have technician look at our truck. they found nothing wrong with our truck other than a bad tire. the technician did not drive the truck under the conditions that i described to them. we took the truck to sears to have the tires looked at & there indeed was a flat spot on the right front tire. i questioned why there would be a flat spot on a tire that had only 24k on it without any explanation. we had the tire replaced & also had the front end aligned. in the meantime the brake pulsation only continues to get worse. i have called daimler chrysler again to request another review of our case & we now have to take the truck back to the dealership & this time stay with the tech and drive with them to identify the pulsating brakes. we are trying to be patient with the process but it is getting very trying. there is definitely something defective with the engineering of this make and model of truck & it is time that chrysler take responsiblity for it. i only hope that they correct the situation before someone gets killed because of it.  view

We are a jeep family. jeep liberty 2002 was brought in for recall on the ball joints on 11/26/06. in early dec we started experiencing problems with steering. brought the jeep into dealership and they quoted us $1680 to replace power steering pressure line &switch & rack and pinion. i was surprised that a jeep this new would have this problem. dealership told us that 3 other jeep libertys were serviced for the same problem within the last weeks. they said it was strange because the libertys had all just had the recall work done on the ball joints. all 3 jeep libertys had the same power steering, rack & pinon problem after the recall work was completed. dealership said they thought maybe there was a connection to the recall but could not say that it was definite. i told the dealership that i would contact chrysler jeep and see if there are any other problems similar to mine recorded. 1/31 i contacted jeep customer service (reference #15916486) and talked to senior staff agent angela. the agent said that she researched and no other problems have been reported ; jeep did not agree that the problem could be related to the recall. i did go on the internet and there are complaints noted on the internet about the same problem. i feel that the jeep ball joint problem contributed to the steering problem and that jeep should repair my car at their expense. jeep disagrees. do i have any recourse or appeal process to make chrysler fix the rack & pinion problem or at least contribute to the repair.  view

I received a recall notice about 4 weeks ago for my 2002 mercedes benz slk 320 due to a faulty brake / stop light design. the left stop light bulb had already burned out several months ago, and the socket was warped from the heat. it was replaced, but the new bulb failed again this month. today i called the dealership i purchased from, bill ussery motors of coral gables, fl and i was told, "your vin number is not covered by the recall." if not, then why did mercedes benz usa mail me a recall letter and why is the bulb assembly defective??? dozens of other slk owners on a mercedes internet message board are facing the same run around from their dealers!  view

I own a 2004 subaru impreza wagon wrx with 67,000 miles on it. i bought the car from someone in nm and i live in colorado springs, co. it had no issues in the summer and fall but in the winter i had a fuel smell in cabin with heater running during a cold day ~15 degrees f or below. i thought it was just a fluke but it now happens every time i start the car in the morning, evening or when engine has cooled down and it is really cold outside (less than 20 degrees f). i called a local subaru dealer and they said around $500.00 to fix issue. seems the rubber hoses on the fuel rails contract when it is very cold outside. i have seen on the web that this problem has been occurring in 2002 wrxs as well. i can't believe subaru has not done a recall for this serious issue! the fuel smell gives me a headache and pollutes the environment. i would try to fix myself but getting to the fuel rails requires extensive top side engine tear down.  view

I bought a 2006 jeep commander with a 5.7l hemi in dec. of 2006. i now have roughly 3000 miles on it and it's stalls daily. sometimes two-times a day. whether i am on a highway exit ramp, at a stop light or slowing down this vehicle randomly shuts off. it's seems to only happen when slowing down and right after i come to a complete stop. this problem began about a week and a half after i bought the vehicle. i have noticed lot's of reports online about this same problem. i want this problem fixed or i want a different vehicle. i have almost been in 7 major crashes involving busy intersections cause of this stall problem. my wife refuses to ride in the vehicle and i hate driving it now.  view

2002 ford explorer xlt. noticed a crack in the rear panel located below tailgate glass the crack is from top to bottom. the location of this crack is approximately 3 inches to the right of the ford emblem under the rear tailgate window.  view

My 1999 gmc sierra 3500 crew cab was ordered new. i discovered later that it was fitted with a 1998 cab. the design is different and the front doors are longer and heavier resulting in premature hinge failures. i also discovered that it was not equipped with airbags because the 1998 version didn't require them even though i ordered a 1999 which does. i have a vin on the dashboard showing it as a 1999 and one on the door showing it as a 1998. i just found out about reporting it here.  view

Driver side power window failed in the down (open) position during heavy rain. a very fragile plastic connector failed where connected to a cable. the service man commented that this is a very frequent failure on this car. window came down while on the highway at 70 mph. causing my coffee to spill on the interior and myself. cadillac dealer repair cost for window is $550.00.  view

Re: lexus ls330 - problem with the airbag on the passenger side the lexus ls330 has a mechanism on the passenger side that turns the airbag on or off based on the weight of the person sitting in front seat. it was meant to turn off for a child and turn on for an adult. it does not work properly (at least in my car). apparently it keeps turning off completely and also turns on the "take to dealer light". i have had the dealer look at the car twice. it is again in the off mode permanently. i believe this is a safety issue.  view

While pulling out of my garage this morning, i smelled something burning. i exited my vehicle and noticed my front heated seat burned through the fabric and caught fire (small flame). i had to put it out with my hand. afterwards, i noticed the seat sparking. i called the dealership and they said to bring it in for review by the service manager. it was on the 2nd setting and also burned on my jacket.  view

I was driving my car at the time when i heard a loud noise in the front of my car. i was turning left into a parking lot so i wasn't going very fast i stopped and looked at my car and noticed that the left front side of my car was almost sitting on the front tire i was glad that i wasn't on the interstate at the time. i have never had this happen with any of my other cars .i would think the springs are stronger than that. thank god i wasn't going fast.......  view

Sitting in traffic and started to move when i noticed a feeling like i was on ice. a slight slip, then i moved. not even a half mile down the road and my car would not move. the engine revved but no movement at all! my transmission went out at 85,000 miles!!!  view

My wife drives a 2005 chevrolet trail blazer. one day about 1-2 months ago she was coming home from work, about 20 miles, and the headlights and instrument lights started flashing on and off. this happened all the way home. i took it to smith chevrolet in laurens, s.c. (29360) to have it repaired. i was told there was no fix and chevrolet was aware of the problem and that this was also a problem on the envoy. i was told it was because of the drain on the electrical system when a number of components were drawing current and the smog system or pump came on. i was given a flyer that stated what could cause the problem of which none could i attribute to my wife's driving style. i have been contacted by a person saying his name is jeremy at 866-790-5700 ext. 22087. jeremy offered to give us a 12 month 12,000 or 18,000 mile extended warranty from the date of service at smith's. the car has about 29,000 miles on it so the warranty would be for about 5,000 miles. i do not want an extended warranty. i want the car fixed, replaced or refund. this is a very dangerous situation for my wife. she is out at night with our 9 year old son and she does not feel safe. i don't know date exactly. it is estimated. this has happened a second time but not taken in yet.  view

The key for my 2004 ford focus station wagon isn't working right. i turn it back and forth in the ignition and it take 5 minutes to start the car. it isn't on recall but should be. there are lots of the same issues on the internet.  view

2005 toyota tundra double cab, v8. when cold engine idles higher than what i would consider normal. when stopped at stop lights and the like in normal driving the transmission will jump or kick sometimes causing vehicle to move forward...especially when a/c is on. when cruise control on it will downshift to passing gear and accelerate way more than normal, tach goes to near redline, when encounter the slightest of grades...also happens when cruise is disengaged to slow and then resumed. transmission shifts improperly when slowing down such as when slowing to make a turn...when apply the gas going through the turn the engine will rev before slipping back into gear. i began noticing these things immediately after purchasing vehicle in nov. '05.  view

I purchased a 2005 acura rsx type-s about a year and half ago around 4/20/05. i drove it for about 4 months and i started hearing a clicking noise coming from my suspension, i brought it back to the dealership and they installed a new strut. the next month the same problem occurred and they had to replace the other side of the strut. that same week my car started drifting to one side and my steering wheeling wasn't aligned, i bought it back and everything was okay. the next month i still heard the same clicking noise but i didn't have time to go to the dealer. that same week, i heard a tapping noise coming from my engine, i didn't know what it was so i kept driving. next day, it got worse and i knew there was something wrong, i checked my oil level on a sloped hill but didn't realize it, and it didn't read properly. so, i added two quarts of oil to the engine, but it still had that same tapping noise from the engine. i went to the dealership, and they told me i had destroyed my engine(connecting rods are bent, piston #4 was damaged) and i will need a new engine. the warranty wasn't going to cover it because i added extra oil. so, i immediately got a lawyer, but nothing has been done in a year im still in the same boat and i'm money. i have spoke to several mechanics from various dealers and shops and they told me there's no way adding oil could damage a engine in just a matter of one day. im running out of ideas and my life is at a stand still if there's anything you can do please help.  view

Tl * - the contact stated that he received recall letter 04050. the contact had a computer chip in the power steering module replaced in jan 2005 because of the recall. the contact stated the power steering failure returned three months later. the contact took the vehicle back to the dealer ,and the vehicle was diagnosed with needing another computer chip for the power steering. the dealer would not replace the chip for free because it had already been replaced under the recall. the power steering failed intermittently for the past two years. the power steering warning light came on when the power steering was not working. updated 1/31/2007 -  view
