Noticed it took longer for the car to heat up last winter; this winter started out the same, and i noticed the blower wouldn't work on setting 5 sometimes. then it quit heating altogether, and the fan would quit but start back up. now the fan quit blowing altogether. no heat, no defrost, in sub-zero weather, and i'm looking at about $1000 in "repairs" which should be covered as a manufacturer's defect. thanks gm. i'll be sure to buy another of your vehicles. there is a manifold gasket leak, and the blower motor needs to be replaced.

Speedometer stopped working at 53000 miles. apparently, all internal parts. many other people with the same situation. this type of part should not fail until 300,000 + miles or 25 years! most people are quoted (and paid) $500 - $1,000 to repair the problem. i've got a call in to gm dealer, but haven't heard back yet.

During the cold period last week, my 2002 subaru impreza wrx had a very strong smell of raw gas. subaru has issued a tsb # 09-36-03 dated 4/01/03 acknowledging the problem and has a repair kit specifically designed to fix the problem. this problem should result in a recall by subaru and be repaired at subaru's expense. it is a potential explosive/fire event and is a fault in the original design. the dealers will not fix this problem without charging the customers. the repair kit is about $60 but labor is $700-800. its a safety issue and i'm afraid to drive it like it is.

Braking system failed to fully function. when i pressed the brake pedal to slow down, the vehicle slowed. however, as i pressed the brake pedal harder to come to a full stop, the vehicle did not respond. a two vehicle car crash resulted, and the sentra is a total loss. the air bags did not deploy. the brakes were last serviced on 10-23-06. i do not trust the dealership, since i have had previous problems. i had the same supspension problems with the vehicle - tires wearing prematurely on the inside. in one instance, nissan of hickory told me there were no problems with my vehicle. after two hours, the service manager walked me into the garage, where he tried to prove the problem was my tires. i pointed to a leaking shock on my vehicle, and he was suprised and upset that i noticed it. he then told me they did not take the tires off my vehicle in the two hours i was waiting. i have no confidence in nissan of hickory to examine my vehicle because of that incident.

The battery on my 2001 chevy impala was dead, so i put a battery charger on the battery and when i went to start the car, nothing happened. i waited 2-4 minutes for the battery to charge and tried to start it again. as soon as i turned the key, the intake manifold exploded into about 10 pieces throughout my garage. luckily no one was hurt. i had the car towed to the local gm dealership today and am still waiting to hear from them.

Replaced left front wheel bearing aug 2005 (50500 mi) then in dec 2006 (73600 mi) had to replace right one. suspect those failures have been factor in rotors needing to be turned.

We have been waiting almost 2 months for repairs on our 2004 jeep liberty renegade for safety recall f23 - lower ball joints. since water may enter into the front suspension causing ball joint separation, we are at risk of losing steering control which could "result in a crash without prior warning" (as described in notification code f23 from daimler chrysler). we have been on the waiting list at 2 separate dealerships since mid-december and both have told us that the parts are not being sent fast enough from daimler chrysler, prolonging our exposure to an unsafe situation. i do not feel comfortable driving my family around knowing that this publicized problem is not being remedied within a reasonable amount of time.
