1984 PLYMOUTH HORIZON User Comment / Complaint

Dt*: the contact stated water was noticed leaking between the roof and ceiling through the sky light. upon visual inspection, it was noticed that the sky light was not installed correctly. also, the ceiling behind the light fixture was scorched and cracking. the manufacturer was contacted, who suggested that reflective tape be placed between the lightbulb and the backing of the fixture or to place spacers between the fixtures and ceiling. no repairs were made. the contact expressed concern that a fire could occur. manufacturer: kit, model:extreme.  view

Dt*: the contact stated while the vehicle was at a dealer having general maintenance performed, the dealer determined all four tires had premature wear on the tread and needed to be replaced. the manufacturer was alerted. the tires were continental contiseal, size: p225/60r18 and dot af7d.  view

1996 ford probe se auto transmission failure,same as mazda 626 all of these cars have the same problem that cost thousands to fix,check the internet,why hasn't there been a recall?  view

On 11/7/2006 i was involved in an accident where my vehicle 98 toyota corolla rear ended a cement truck. the speed at which my car was traveling was 25-35 mph. the air bags did not deploy, my seat belt did not lock and because of this my chest hit the steering wheel. i visited the urgent care the same day and as a result of the accident i suffered strained ligaments and muscles in my neck and back and a bruise and scrape on my chest. i am still suffering.  view

I experienced extreme front brake shudder after only 6200 miles on this vehicle. i feel that this is a serious design fault of the front rotors. i had the vehicle serviced under warranty and the front rotors were cut. i am just waiting for the rotors to warp again, and hopefully they won't cause an accident. no help from inquiries with ford motor company about this problem.  view

Speedo problem. sometimes reads too low. sometimes reads too high. sometimes reads 55 mph sitting still. safety issue as i could be @100 mph when speedo indicates 55 mph.  view

I was driving into the mountains of nc from sc. smelled smoke. realized it was coming from in between truck cab and bed. it was very difficult to put out fire as it had started to melt the plastic bed liner and plastic gas tank. fire was caused by a 2 foot by 2 foot piece of cardboard that had fallen down between bed and cab. it was resting on the gas tank and leaning to the side on top of the muffler. i assume it caught fire as we traveled slowly up the winding road. (hwy 276) there is no shield over the muffler. when the tank was replaced it was reported to me that the fire had melted the top of the fuel pump and had exposed a hole in the gas tank. i believe this a very serious problem that needs to be dealt with by mazda.  view

When driving at high speeds (above 50 mph) there is a whining coming from the drivetrain. i have an 06 tacoma reg. cab with 4x4 & 5 speed with less than 500 miles. truck has made the noise since purchase date. service tech thought noise was normal or may go away eventually. i then test drove a duplicate truck off dealer lot with service tech & there was no whining. they then conceited that it was not normal. they have replaced the transmission, transfer case & driveshaft with no results. fortunately dealer does recognize the problem however they can not give a solution. dealer has provided me with loaner car while problem is being worked, but they have had the truck 24 days of the approx. 70 days i have owned truck.  view

Injector failures on 2001 gmc duramax 6.6 diesel engine. injectors failed and replaced under warranty at 167,000 miles, failed again at 197,000 miles and replaced under warranty. g m customer service said they would replace them under warranty if they failed again in such a short period of time. injectors failed at 234,000 miles and gm customer service renigged on their word. many others have had failures in 30,000 to 40,000 miles. they are replacing parts with remanufactured parts and they are not lasting. gm dealers are charging $3600.00 to $4,500.00 to replace these injectors out of warranty. it is plain that they know that there is a problem with the injectors when they extended the warranty on injectors from 100,000 to 200,000 miles or seven years. they get away with this because most people do not drive their vehicles that much in seven years. all i wanted was a fair deal and did not get it.  view
