2006 BMW 5 SERIES User Comment / Complaint

The front passenger side seat has a sensor that disables the air bag if an adult is not sitting in the seat (based on weight) since it has been determined that airbags are dangerous for children. the sensor in my car is malfunctioning and always keeps the air bag disabled, even if an adult is in the seat. dealer has ordered a replacement part. i'm driving around without air bag protection for the passenger side seat.
