1997 BMW 740 User Comment / Complaint

2001 tt quatro coupe gauges cluster failed twice. ***** the manufacturer resolved the designed problem after the 2003 model year.  view

Dt*: the contact stated while traveling 20 mph, the vehicle jerked when shifted into reverse or 1st gear. the transmission slipped between 3rd and 4th gears and transmission fluid was seen on the driveway. the vehicle was inspected by an independent service dealer, then by the service dealer, who determined the transmission needed replacement. the service dealer replaced the transmission and the manufacturer was notified.  view

The antilock brakes flutter at low speeds. 5-10mph. i called gm and they told me there was no recall for this problem on the 1999 tahoe vehicle even though the same problem exists on the silverado's, & suburbans.  view

Dt*: the contact stated when the vehicle was started; the engine was chugging and would not accelerate properly while traveling 30 mph. the vehicle was taken to the nearest repair shop. after six weeks, diagnostics and physical inspection showed a valve part may have fallen into the motor causing damage and there was a severe sludge problem requiring the engine to be replaced. the service dealer bought the vehicle from the contact. the manufacturer was not alerted.  view

Consumer complaint requesting reimbursement for electric radiator fan on 2002 grand cherokee. the failure occurred while the vehicle was being driven 65 mph. the fan broke it caused damage to the radiator which caused the vehicle to overheat.  view

Dt*: the contact stated there was a clunking noise while turning at various speeds. the vehicle was taken to the dealership and the rack and pinion was replaced. two months later, the problem returned and the dealership replaced the rack and pinion a second time.  view

I purchased a 2006 dodge charger apprx 2 wks ago. the engine light came on the day after i purchased car. i took the car in that friday and was told it was a service recall issue and to bring the car back because it would take all day to repair. i too am filing under the texas lemon law. car only had less than 19000 miles when purchased. i also have a problem with loud squeaking brakes.  view

Inside passenger door handle broke. can not exit vehicle on passenger side.  view

Dt*: the contact stated while traveling 55 mph, the ground effects fell off the driver side of the vehicle. the dealership determined the vehicle hit something in the road, but the contact disagreed. a new component will be clipped on.  view
