Dt*: the contact stated while approaching a stop sign at 15 mph, the vehicle's brakes failed. the dealership would not accept the vehicle because the service department could not offer an immediate appointment. the vehicle was taken to an independent repair shop who determined the plastic protection of the brake fluid line was not completely covering the line resulting in a rusted line due to condensation. brake fluid leaked from the line causing the brake failure. the brake line had severe rust. updated 10/02/06.
