Antilock brakes failed.  view

Dt*: the contact stated the vehicle's fuel filler tube was corroded. the dealer inspected the vehicle on 08/14/06 and determined that the fuel filler tube was corroded and needed to be replaced. there was a nhtsa recall #95v244000, regarding the fuel system, gasoline: storage: tank assembly: filler pipe and cap. the vehicle was not included in the recall due to the vin. the vehicle was registered in connecticut for the past 4 years and was purchased in hawaii. the manufacturer was contacted on 07/26/06 and determined that the vin archives needed to be inspected to conclude that the vin should be included in the recall.  view

The side view mirrors are defective in design. the range of motion is not sufficient enough to get the mirrors - especially the passenger side- to view cars that are along side of your car.  view

This will be a list of most of the problems. i have complained of smelling anti-freeze since i purchased the van new. it currently has 94k on it and i have done all scheduled maintenance on it. i think the clock work oil changes is the only reason it still runs. manifold gaskets, intake, head...have been replaced twice and need it again, really bad. but i just do not have 5-800 bucks laying around to do a gasket job again since i just did it a year ago. the anti-freeze diluting the oil has messed up a couple pistons. they slap very bad ok here is my list (i have dealer invoices for everything fixed the first time and receipts for parts and labor the second time, or my husband got sick of paying for the same crap so he would fix things) (he is in the automotive testing and design field)  view

Dt*: the contact stated while applying brake pressure at 10mph or less, the antilock brakes pulsated which increased stopping distance. the vehicle was inspected by a dealer who was unable to duplicate the problem. the vehicle was taken to an independent repair shop who determined that the wheel speed sensor needed to be replaced. the problem was corrected after replacing the wheel speed sensor.  view

Vehicle was diagnosed after only 50k miles that ball joints and sway bar was "bad". vehicle was in reverse, going less than 5 mph when the vehicle suddenly dropped on the front passenger side with a loud thud and a grinding. upon observation, the ball joint had come loose from the wheel, dropping the axle to the ground. this caused the wheel to push up on the fender, bending it out of place. ball joint and lower control arms was replaced.  view

1999 ford escort made a grinding noise when brakes were applied. upon inspection mechanic determined it was the tone ring that needed to be replaced. the consumer was told that the tone ring is a part of the abs system. the consumer contacted the manufacturer but since the vehicle was no longer under warranty they provided not assistance.  view

Hatch back came down hard, causing severe bruise.  view

2002 chrysler pt cruiser air bags failed to deploy in an accident. both occupants sustained multiple strains and bruises.  view

2004 toyota prius air bags failed to deploy in an accident. the consumer's vehicle was t-boned by another vehicle which was traveling at approx. 40 mph. the consumer sustained injuries. a police report was filed at the scene.  view

The a/c compressor has failed at approx. 47,000 miles. i have checked with many other suzuki owners and the dealership here locally. they all state this is common for suzuki's. due to the high replacement cost of the compressor i am currently without a/c with a 110 degree heat index. i will be purchasing the new compressor and having it installed soon.  view

Near miss with deer due to headlight lens obscurity: - while driving down fm 2252, i almost struck a dog that was walking toward the road - the plastic headlight cover has become fogged and nearly opaque, leading to obscured visibility and greatly decreased the distance the light carries - new headlight lenses (~$240 a piece) were obtained.  view

Vehicle caught fire for no apparent reason while parked in the driveway and was completely destroyed. we believe there was an electrical problem in the steering column because we had slight difficulties with the ignition switch.  view

I have a 2001 f-350 with captain chair seats. the seat belts do not stay latched. i looked on the internet and found that there is a recall for the seat belts. my vin number is not on this recall list. how do i get my seat belts repaired??  view

I own a 2003 jeep grand cherokee limited with 16,168 miles. my driving pattern for the past year has been within downtown city limits and connecting freeways where speeds over 50 miles per hour are rare due to traffic congestion. on a recent interstate trip when i apply the brakes at speeds above 45 mph they pulsated and the front end would shake violently each time the brakes were applied. i immediately took the vehicle to a jeep dealer for an inspection. the car had warped front brake rotors. prior to proceeding with the repair i contacted daimler chrysler to authorize the repair at their cost as the problem is a known design/manufacturing defect affecting 1999 through 2004 grand cherokees. after over an hour on the, phone they authorized replacement rotors as a goodwill repair albeit with the original defective rotor design. i learned from the dealer service rep their service department has replaced the rotors in about four thousand 1999 -2004 model grand cherokees. this is essentially a 100% failure rate. any abnormal brake operation is a potential safety issue. stopping distance will be increased by compromised inefficiency of the warped rotor against the disc. from a human factor standpoint the driver is distracted at a critical point in bringing the vehicle to a stop. instinct may cause the driver to ease off the brakes to reduce the vibration thereby risking a collision or loss of control and veer into opposing traffic. i understand from the dealer there is an after-market fix to the factory rotors. daimler chrysler should on their own provided an engineering change to existing replacement rotors to correct the heat problem and in the absence of such the nhtsa should take appropriate action. has the manufacturer filed an early warning report on the brake pulsation problem?  view

Dt*: the contact stated the first week after purchasing the vehicle, the tires starting making noises while driving at 35 mph and the engine light illuminated. the vehicle was taken to local dealer who determined the vehicle was driven out of alignment causing tires to wear down. no repairs were made. the vehicle was taken to another dealer who determine all four tire should be replaced at a cost. the tires were not replaced because the contact did not want to pay for the replacement. the tires were rotated by the contact to remedy the problem. updated 8/1/2006 -  view

Dt*: the contact stated while driving 50 mph the vehicle stalled without warning. the vehicle was maneuvered off the road and towed to an independent mechanic. the ignition module was replaced. there is a nhtsa recall, # 05v399000, regarding the electrical system; ignition module. the vin was not included in the recall.  view

Dt*: the contact stated that in the owner's manual it indicated that a weight of greater than 56.4 pounds in the front passenger seat will turn off the air bag indicator light, and allow the frontal and side air bags to deploy in the event of a crash. there have been occupants in the passenger seat who weigh greater than the limit, but the indicator will not turn off, therefore the air bags probably would not engage during an accident. the vehicle was taken to a service dealer who was unable to locate the defect, however the passenger seat was replaced. the replacement did not correct the problem. there is a nhtsa recall # 03v322000 which relates to the air bags however the vehicle was not included in the recall due to the vin. updated 8/1/2006 -  view

Dt*: the contact stated the vehicle weaved while driving at any speed. however it worsens at higher speeds. the dealership installed new tires and aligned the front end, but the problem still persisted. the dealership also informed the contact the ball joints were stuck and grease fittings might help solve the weaving, but this remedy could not be guaranteed. updated  view

Dt*: the contact stated after shifting the transmission from park to reverse, the brake pedal was released and the vehicle accelerated on its own. the brake pedal was depressed again, but the vehicle did not respond. the vehicle stopped after hitting a ditch. there was minor damage to the vehicle and no injuries. the vehicle was towed the dealership, the computer stored no codes and the dealer was unable to duplicate the problem. updated 8/1/2006 - the consumer's vehicle started electrical problems a week after it was purchased. the vehicle was taken back to the dealer several times for repairs. the radio went out then came back on. the all the panel light went out. the dealer replaced the cluster. the esp bas light illuminated on the dash. the dealer replaced the parking brake switch. the driver's side window auto up function failed. the dealer calibrated the auto up function. when turning the key to start the vehicle it doesn't start. sometimes it takes 3 or 4 tries before the vehicle will start. the dealer replaced the wireless control module. ignition switch was replaced because the vehicle wouldn't start.  view

I've been having problems with the brakes of my 2000 sebring shortly after i purchased it from star chrysler in glendale ca. it only had 14,800 miles on it. i'm the second owner. i can't really hit my brakes and they wear out really fast. chrysler did nothing about this. these brakes are defective, unsafe and poorly designed. i constantly have to replace them. it's very frustrating. i have to put my car in low gear to go down hills and off ramps so the brakes don't wear out. also, my sending unit disabled at 84,000 miles. i now have to count the gallons of gas and track the mileage so i don't run out of gas. very dangerous. chrysler again did nothing. this is a computer related and should not have failed at 84,000 miles. my distributor failed last week at 107,000. this should not have failed. i called chrysler and they told me the only way they could give me assistance is if i towed it to the dealership. it was a total lie just to get me in there to spend $. they wanted $1500. chrysler notified me the next day to tell me i wasn't getting any assistance due to being out of warranty. this cost me 2 unnecessary tows from aaa. i had to tow it again to another mechanic which used up my last tow with aaa. i had to tow it also when my gas gauge disabled. chrysler is very unethical to it's consumers and failed miserably in the quality of their vehicles.  view

Drivers side mirror wobbles in the wind, makes images hard to judge in reference to distance and vehicle image clarity. this problem existed from the time i bought my new kia amanti. i was told it would be fixed but upon request to complete the repair i was told that kia would not repair it, and was told that kia was not responsible for the wind.  view

2000 pontiac firebird had a faulty intake manifold gasket. the consumer stated he had to pay for 3 separate repairs.  view

2003 bonneville made a clunking noise in the steering. mechanic replaced the intermediate steering shaft. problem has recurred. the consumer was informed it was a normal fix, that will continue to occur.  view

The "srs" light on my 2001 honda civic lx came on a few months ago without any apparent reason and has not turned off. according to what i have read, this indicates that there is some type of a problem with the air bag / safety restraint system. as far as i know, honda covers only seat belts for the life of the car. airbags are supposed to be so important (and are never used unless in a crash); i cannot understand why they do not cover these very important safety devices. from what i have read, the air bags will not deploy as long as that "srs" light is on. this is a sad day for all americans. who can afford to pay to have this repaired????? i know i can't. it seems this is a common problem with hondas. hopefully there will be a recall before people get killed or seriously injured as a result.  view

All four rotors rusted threw, all four had to be replaced, only 56000 miles on this 2000 chevy silverado pick up truck.  view

Car started making a cluncking noise. parked car till social security check came in. took car to garage where i found out that i need a sway bar, control arm bushing and tie rod (right side). upon calling for prices, i found out that many cars of this model are having the same problem. i think they got a bad batch of sway bars. being on disability, the cost are outrageous and the repairs have not been made as of yet, leaving disabled people with no transportation for medical care.  view

On 7/12/06 at approximately 50 mph, the vehicle's painted top became detached striking a following vehicle causing minor damage to the second vehicle. both drivers were able to pull to the side of the road with out further incident and with no injuries. there were no warning signs of the incident, other than the noise made at time of separation. the latch was still intact. owner alleges having no prior notification of recall 06v-181, and that dealer has yet to be able to replace the top. the vehicle was purchased new in november 2005; recall campaign initiated in may 2006.  view

2000 fifth wheel travel trailer was not welded properly causing support for the axle and frame to break at the welds and breaking the leaf spring. the consumer experienced a failure after the recall work was performed. the consumer believed the recall work was not done properly.  view

Dt*: the contact stated the vehicle was recalled (nhtsa campaign id #06v235000) for bead defect on the tires. an authorized service dealer inspected the tires. the recall notice and the dealer's mechanic informed the contact that only the defective tires would be replaced. the contact expressed concerned about the proper wear of the tires if they were not all replaced.  view

Dt*: the contact stated the front end was pulling and swaying badly to the right and the left at various speeds. twice the lower ball joints was replaced. the first time was in november 2004 under recall # 03v460000; suspension: front: control arm: lower ball joint. the second time was in june 2005. the vehicle was taken to the dealer for a routine brake inspection and the mechanic determined the ball joints were so bad the vehicle could not be driven until the ball joints were replaced. the vehicle began pulling and swaying to the right and left at various speeds for the third time. the dealership directed the contact to bring the vehicle in for inspection.  view

Dt*: the contact stated while driving 25 mph through a commercial area during very hot weather conditions the vehicle began to vibrate. the vibration occurred right before the cooling system caused the vehicle to run at high temperatures and over heat resulting in a blown engine cooling fan. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic shop where the mechanic determined that the failure was caused by the shroud and the plastic blade of the electric motor fan. the mechanic also indicated that the parts were defective. the was a recall # pertaining to the engine and engine cooling:cooling system:fan. the manufacturer was called and determined the vehicle was not included in the recall due to the vin.  view

2004 chevrolet express g-van engine overheated causing smoke to come from driver cabinet and engine shut off. the consumer experienced the problem on 4 separate occasions. the brake master cylinder was replaced.  view

It has been in the shop several times since it was bought for the exact same thing. the front window defrost will not blow air in order to defrost the window. this causes very dangerous conditions while driving. the dealer does not want to fix it with out approval of a lot of hours for labor and taking apart a large portion of the front end. which most people can not afford all at one time.  view

I was left stranded when my ignition key would not work in my 2003 ford focus. called a locksmith and he said it take about $300.00 to repair it. my wife had to drive 1 hour to come and get me and i lost a day of work, which i could not afford to lose.  view

I was driving down nys route 193 in woodville, ny when my air bag deployed without hitting anything. i received minor injuries and my passengers vehicle did not deploy so she was ok, but an air bag should not deploy for no reason.  view

The engine performed a shut-down/reduction in power procedure while accelerating in heavy traffic. "performance reduced/engine system service urgent" notice appeared on the information screen. i had to quickly move out of the way to prevent causing a major accident. after resetting the warning light, i proceeded driving to get to an appropriate location to wait for assistance. the engine shut-down again.  view

My car sometimes shifts out of gear(automatic) and then the "service engine light" comes on. when put in reverse, pauses for a couple seconds then bangs into gear. this car has an intermittent problem with the trans which leads me to think that the trans is good but a sensor is bad. i have spoken to several people with the same problem.  view

I own a 2000 chevy silverado. the upper intermediate steering shaft is defective and was replaced per service bulletin 00-02-35-003j in jan. 2002. problems with chatters and erratic steering performance have continued and gm states that they plan to correct the problem but never have. their recommendation is to grease the shaft...which only helps for a few thousand miles and then the chatter and erratic steering performance returns. it's a distraction which driving and in my opinion could result in an accident. i also question whether the current shaft is strong enough in the event of a rigorous steering maneuver. gm has dragged it's feet on this and it's time an outside agency looked into it and insisted that gm recall the vehicle and develop a permanent fix for this problem. such erratic performance in my opinion is a distraction that could contribute to an accident and the shaft could strip or fracture as well in certain situations according to certain mechanics i've talked with.  view

I purchased my chevrolet extended cab silverado truck approximately 7 months ago. today my bridgestone v-steel rlb265 radial lt245/75r16 load range e mts 120/116s tire blew out. the blow out occurred on the side of the tire (about the 'e' in the word bridgestone. there was no foreign object - it appears to have been a weakness in the tire wall. i almost careened into another car - since i was just beginning to merge on from one express way to the other. this is very dangerous & needs to be rectified before someone is either injured or killed. is this going to keep occurring with these tires? if so, i want all 4 replaced with something different.  view

Dt*: the contact stated the control arm fractured off of the ball joint while parking the vehicle. there was a nhtsa recall, # 98v322000, regarding the suspension: front: control arm: lower ball joint. the vehicle's steering was erratic at times. the steering wheel pulled to the left and to the right even after the front end was aligned. there was a nhtsa recall # 96v135000, regarding the steering: linkages. after putting only a half of tank of gasoline in the fuel tank; after tightening the cap, the smell of gas fumes was very strong outside and inside the vehicle. there was a nhtsa recall # 95v063000, regarding the fuel system, gasoline: storage: tank assembly: filler pipe and cap. the vehicle was not included in any of the recalls due to the vin.  view

1996 chevrolet lumina, brake lights not working except for in the rear window. if that bulb were to burn out, i would have no brake lights at all. i have discovered, and i am sure, that you are aware that this is a very common problem. why has this not been corrected?  view

Brake light switch failed on my 2005 canyon (brake lights would not shut off). complained to dealer when it was taken in for inspection a few days later. they "adjusted" switch passed the truck in inspection. a week later problem occurred again. was never notified of a recall. had to find that out in personal research. had to buy the part myself since no one would acknowledge the recall and did not have parts.  view

I hit a pot hole around dec 2005. my vehicle received extensive damage. i will like for you to investigate the damages, was this cause by the pot hole, or vehicle was not check appropriately. there has been certain recalls on my vehicle which has made me wonder.  view

Dt*: the contact stated while driving 55mph in normal driving conditions, the contact lost control of the vehicle which left the roadway and struck a large tree without warning and the airbags did not deploy. the contact was not wearing a seat belt, and minor injuries were sustained. there was extensive damage to the front of the vehicle; the vehicle was totaled by the insurance agency as a result. the police were on the scene and a report was taken. the dealer and manufacturer were not alerted.  view

Both headlights on our 2004 mitsubishi outlander are cracked in a similar pattern, bottom outer corner to upper inside corner, there are 2 -3 cracks on each headlight. this was not done by rocks, or any collision, considering they are so similar in appearance on both headlights, it must be a defect in the plastic coverings. we have not attempted to replace these, since the estimate to fix this problem consists of replacing the whole headlight, costing almost $600.00 per headlight.  view

The prius uses a lever and gate to shift the transmission into gear. on my prius, the lever stuck in the gate position and did not return to the neutral position. i pushed the "park" button and began to exit the car. it rolled forward in gear and i had to jump back in and jam on the brake to avoid injuring someone. this defect is extremely serious. if the selector lever does not return to the neutral position after a gear is selected, the park function is disabled and the vehicle will move forward.  view

I had a beautiful black 4 door intrepid that i maintained very well and at the bank it started to knock and by the time i got 2 miles to my repair shop it was done. i had the guys tear it apart and fix the problem to the tune of almost a $1,000.00. it was my only car and i just bought it so i had no choice but being a single mother of 3 kids it put a major dent in my pocket. at the repair shop they suggested i get rid of it considering they could not guarantee how long it was going to last but couldn't afford to do that at the time. 4 months later it was back in the repair shop they fixed it again and bought me a for sale sign. needless to say less then a month later it seized up, the people at the repair shop made me leave it there and took me home. they put it up for sale at their lot but in the end i couldn't make payments on something i couldn't drive and gave it back to the bank they are still trying to sell it at the auction. loved my car but it ruined my credit with all the extra repair bills i had to make on it, wish it could have been fixed the first time.  view

2000 dodge grand caravan clockspring failed. mechanic never told consumer of recall. the clockspring in the consumer vehicle failed and the consumer had it replaced. several months later the consumer read about a clockspring recall on the chrysler website. the consumer was never notified of any recall and has been at the same address since purchasing the vehicle. the consumer submitted the invoice for reimbursement per the manufacturer but only received partial reimbursement.  view

My car on an intermittent basis will not start as well.....there is no cranking whatsoever. although upon turning the key all the lights on the dashboard light up in a normal manner, there is absolutely no sound from the engine. after either a few tries or roll starting the vehicle (manual transmission)....it will start. i brought it to the dealer once and they originally thought it was the battery, then the starter they proceeded to replace, then after a few days the same problem occurred again....i am bringing it back to the dealer.  view

Tonight driving down two lane highway at approximately 50 to 55 mph and for no apparent reason drivers rear tire failed. the sidewall of tire blew out. luckily it was on the rear tire. this ford f150 had only 3300 miles, i expect to get my tire replaced!!! i really expect to have all 5 tire replaced with another brand.  view

I purchased a 2001 highlander, which the dmv claims is 2002 (despite the fact that toyota sold it to me used as a 2001 highlander). its sun visor won't stay in place and keeps hanging down, impairing my visibility, mostly the traffic lights. it is extremely dangerous. it costs over $600 to replace the visor without warranty and it really should be done for free, given how many other people i know with the same problem.  view

2005 dodge 2500 consumer received recall for gear shifter. mechanic did not repair the issue. the consumer was informed by the manufacturer that the recall had been completed and nothing else could be done. the consumer stated the original defect had not been corrected. the consumer noticed that the vehicle was becoming more difficult to shift into park and sometimes when he opens the door while backing up the horn does not sound. therefore, the original safety hazard still exists. the consumer assumed the dealer was going to adjust the shift linkage, but he soon discovered, they had done nothing to the shifter.  view

Dt*: the contact stated while traveling at various speeds the vehicle stalled four times. the vehicle did not restart was towed to the dealership each time. the dealership replaced the gas cap in an attempt to repair the problem, but the problem persisted. the vehicle was a 2006 suzuki m109r.  view

I bought a 2003 hyundai tiburon gt 3 weeks ago from a dealership, medlin motors inc., in rocky mount, nc. i started smelling a burning smell the day i bought the car and asked the dealer what it was and they told me it was probably brake rust or residue coming off from where it was sitting up for a while. so i then dismissed the problem until about 3 weeks later i smelt that smell again and soon after the clutch started slipping. i immediately called the dealership and asked them to fix it. they then picked up the vehicle and took it to their shop. i was under the impression that the warranty would cover it until the next day when we received a phone call stating that the repair bill would be $1700.00. with this information i told them i couldn't afford to repair it since i had just put a $1400.00 down payment on the vehicle 3 weeks prior. they still refuse to fix this problem without a payment of $1700.00. in its simplest form, i paid $1400.00 to drive a car for a month and now i am obligated to a $13000.00 loan for a car i can't drive which is still 30 minutes away at the shop.  view

I was rear ended by a tacoma traveling 45 mph while i was at a complete stop. as a result, i hit a mercedes that was stopped in front of me. my air bags did not deploy. luckily, i sit far enough away from my steering wheel and was not injured. i spoke with beaudry honda in tucson, arizona and was ignored.  view

Speedometer is not accurate and in time i found this to be a safety issue. at first it was trucks running up on my rear bumper beeping horns at me. so when i discovered the speedometer was registering slow, i sped up. but then how much you can not tell and i find myself breaking when i see a patrol car. i was maybe 1 or 2 over but yet you just do not know. its a distraction that i find may cause a safety issue while driving. vw does this to conform to a european standard. this could be easily calibrated out as the cars computer is aware of the correct speed as vw claims the odometer is not affected. unecessary breaking or a road raged truck driver are safety issues.  view

Vehicle started out with front end vibrations driving home from the dealership. brought in and they balanced tires. problem came back, they then resurfaced the rotors, however the problem returned and they replaced 2 rotors when the vehicle was 1 year old. the problem has now returned. i brought the vehicle to the dealership for repair. i am being told that i need 4 new rotors and that the rotors are warped. this is a safety issue that is a manufacturers defect and is endangering our lives and others out there. the dealership only resurfaced the 2 front rotors. they are all still warped. my van is not yet 2 years old. manufacturer does not want to acknowledge a default. i have never heard of changing the rotors on a vehicle every 6 months to a year. we do not want there to be a statistic of injuries or deaths caused by a manufacturers defective braking system that cannot be rectified.  view

Gm and/or chevrolet has never attempted to contact me or deliver notices of recalls or any of the 84 service bulletins which are currently issued for this vehicle. i have complained to gm and the dealership but have received no answer or response at all.  view

No special events leading to failure. lower ball joints deteriorated beyond use at 40000 miles resulting in some tire damage due to misalignment. dealer response was "normal wear item* , not under warranty. these factory ball joints are not equipped with grease fittings, thus cannot be lubricated. ball joints replaced with aftermarket product. pieces of original ball joints no longer available. general motors has not responded to any emails or phone calls regarding this vehicle.  view

Dt*: the contact stated unless the trunk was raised all the way, the trunk closed so fast resulting in hitting several family members in the head but no one was seriously injured. the contact tried to catch the trunk before it slammed shut which resulted in the contact's finger being pinned in the trunk. the contact had an x-ray performed and the results displayed ligament damage. the dealership was contacted and referred the contact to the manufacturer.  view

4 items 1 - have owned the 2003 ford explorer for 7 months. while test driving, i noticed a hum noise coming from rear tires. was told it was tread noise. we took it for oil change at very well respected national automotive service shop. i was informed i needed to replace the rear hub assembly that is was critically broken. waiting to contact local ford dealer for resolution based on tsb research i have done. 2 - whining noise from air conditioner when accelerating. don't really know what is going on. saw this also on tsb. contacting local ford dealership. 3 - abs light randomly comes on. don't know why and no pattern to when. contacting local ford dealership. 4 - cruise control not working. i was driving down the road this weekend, using cruise control. stopped quickly for a car in front of me. when i started going again, the cruise control wouldn't work and hasn't worked since then. i don't know if it has to do with the brakes. i noticed ford recalled some cruise control mechanisms in other vehicles but not in the 2003 explorer.  view

Extreme over steering at speeds over 45 mph. nearly caused a freeway accident with car full of kids. previously owned a 93 suburban with no complaints. have only owned this one 4 months and i am scared to drive it because the steering is so erratic. also travel frequently with horse trailer and worry that the over steering will cause the trailer to swerve, consequences would be catastrophic.  view

I am filing a complaint in regard to my vehicle's equipment that failed and was faulty in a recent automobile accident. i was traveling approximately 40-45 mph in a straight lane when a vehicle quickly entered across my path to make a left hand turn. i had no time to brake, so the other car is what stopped my motion. it was a hard hit! my mazda mpv crashed into the other person's car. during our front impact with the other car's driver side, my airbags did not deploy causing injury. had the airbag worked, i feel i wouldn't had slid into the dash and been jerked backwards by my seat belt restraint causing injury to my back and or spinal alignment. i have been suffering every day from the accident due to this injury. in addition to the chest/lap belt being used in the passenger seat, i secured my daughter's chest during the crash with my right arm, which i believe helped her to not attain even more injury from the air bag not deploying. she was, however,injured on her leg from the storage compartment under her seat releasing on it's own from the crash and hitting her legs causing a cut that was treated at the e.r. the storage compartment should not be able to release in a wreck. i believe you will consider this problem to also be faulty in nature. i urge you to investigate these problems so that other people may be notified with this particular vehicle. i ask that you and/or mazda investigate the defects with my vehicle very soon before i have to sign the title over to the driver's insurance that was at fault. my vehicle has been declared "totaled" on 8/14 by usaa and is at a salvage yard. please contact me soon to let me know what you plan to do about the situation. i called mazda today at 800-222-5500, was on hold for a little over 15 minutes to report this with them and ask them who made the air bags, sensor and compartment under the passenger seat. a man told me he was unable to give me that information and hung up.  view

I bought this vehicle on nov 2, 2005. two months later the car was out of alignment so i took it to the shop to get that rectified. exactly 7 days later it was out of alignment again so i took it to the dealership i bought it from and after i explained the situation their response was that this is not covered by the manufacturers warranty. i paid over $50 to get the car aligned again. in june and just today (aug 15, 06) i took it to sears for alignment again. this is the fourth time in 10 months i had to take this car back for alignment. the tires are wearing excessively. the front brakes vibrate at 40 mph and of course, i was told by the dealership that this problem is also not covered by the warranty. even without even test driving the car. amazing. to fix it, it will cost me another $160 because the brake pads alone, supposedly cost $120. let me tell you this, i came back to suzuki because i was the proud owner of a chevy sprint rs 1985 made by suzuki and i had it for 10 year with no problems whatsoever. maybe that was too much luck but 4 alignments in 10 months is defenitly not the quality i was expecting from suzuki. i will get rid of this car as soon as i can and guess what, i'm passing the word about the aereo's deficiencies to.  view

1998 corvette convertible. two independent situation where gas tanks leaks although car is a secondary car and rarely driven. gas tank leaked in 2003 prompting service, repair and replacement of parts. gas tank leaks again which warrants another service, repair and replacement of parts.  view

The ignition on my 2002 ford focus with 60,000 miles locked up when i put the key in. what i thought would be a fast trip into the post office lead to a six hour event of trying to get my car started, calling ford, and aaa., to make matters worse it was during a thunderstorm. after six hours my car was towed to a local mechanic where the ignition was worked on for a costly price.  view

I bought a used car and it have a damaged muffler and the dealer won't fix it for me and i have three kids and i am afraid that this problem could lead to a fire and i don't have the money to fix it my self please what should i do.  view

There were problems with the radio starting one year ago. on three occasions the cd would not eject and the radio would not play even though it could be tuned and adjusted. the cd ejected two of the three times when driving fast over a large bump. the third time i had to hit the side of the radio three times before it ejected. on a different occasion the radio turned on without sound and the cd player would not take the cd. after driving the vehicle for 10 minutes, the stereo accepted the cd and it played. today the cd i put in was being read but no sound was present. when switching to radio, with the cd in, no sound was present for the radio. only after the cd was removed and the stereo was turned off then on did it have sound. the dealership says in order to replace the stereo they need to see the problem. however, i can't just stop in when it is occurring because other people have appointments. by the time i have the appointment, the stereo is working and in their eyes it is not a problem.  view

Car pulling to left, then right right from the date of purchase to present - 2005 acura tl. actions taken by dealership to correct the problem include: 3 wheel alignments. multiple tire rotations, replacement of all tires, and road pressure balancing of all tires. problem still exists - dealer unable to correct.  view
