2000 GMC C/K CHASSIS CAB User Comment / Complaint

The day i rented the uhaul i had several problems, most bothersome was one particular employee. i actually called 1800gouhaul that morning and held for over 25 minutes to voice my complaint. i was told that a representative would contact me, yet i have heard nothing. the truck (gh4718b ab96170 az) drove fine, but the check engine light came on about 1 mile away from the rental center. i made a u-turn on the highway and while driving it back to uhaul, the emergency brake self deployed causing the truck to jackknife, the brakes to smoke and the truck to come to a halt on a highway. i was very shaken and amazed that i managed to avoid the concrete barricades (road construction) and all other vehicles on the highway. when i returned with the truck, an employee named kenyatta melliex began a long series of unprofessional and unsafe banter. he began by telling me that i would not be satisfied until "i have a new truck". i thought he was joking around with me because of my bad luck. i quickly realized he was not. he proceeded to taunt me stating "the check engine light isn't on anymore", "how come the light is off now?", "the truck is fine to go back out, you just can't be satisfied". these comments continued on and on, even after i said it would be unsafe to give that vehicle to someone else, even after i threatened to report the vehicle to the dot, even after i said "don't you smell the brakes". when i was departing with my new truck he continued with his comments, and i assured him i would be lodging a complaint. i would like to have that truck¿¿s problem on record. uhaul may have ignored the issue and the vehicle could easily have caused harm or injury to another.
