2000 volvo c70 convertible has needed two airbags replaced in less than 5000 miles. these are not accident related. volvo informs me this is ordinary and they hold no responsibility. i have never had a car that needed airbag replacement. too be such a "safe" car this doesn't seem correct. do they have a recall or manufacturing defect? what can be done other than paying $800.00 every five thousand miles? car has 50000 miles on it.

Dt*: the contact stated while driving there was a squealing noise that appeared to be coming from the brakes. during a normal maintenance service, the service dealer determined the squealing noise was normal. on april 4, an appointment was made with the dealer regarding the vehicle's brakes. the dealership determined the vent solenoid had failed internally and the vent solenoid and bracket parts had to be replaced. the contact was told by dealership that until work could be performed the car was driveable. on april 5th, the vehicle was in an accident. while driving 55 mph on wet roads, the brakes failed which caused the contact to loose control of the vehicle. while the contact attempted to manuver the vehicle to the side of the road, the vehicle hit a pole and slide into a ditch. during the accident the air bags did not deploy. all occupants were wearing seatbelts however injuries were sustained. the contacts had lower back injuries. an mri was performed showing a dislocated disk to the lower back. other injuries occurred to two other passangers ages 12 and 7; minor head injuries. a police report was filed and accident report was processed with the dealership. after the accident, the vehicle was taken to a body shop for repairs. additional repairs still need to be made to brakes and airbags.

A wobbling sound heard in front of vehicle while driving, along with noticeable wear on the inner portion of the front tires at 35,000 miles (or less), as well as the car pulling to the right, led me to bring the car into the dealership for servicing at which point they replaced the lower ball joints for both front tires. wobbling still exists as an alignment or replacement of worn tires was not performed under warranty.

I recently purchased a kawasaki 1400 as a birth day gift for my husband. i had it exactly 48 days. saturday 6/17/06 he was out riding his bike on 290 expressway in chicago at 90 mph with a bus behind him the bike completely shut down we do not need to explore the possibilities of what could have went wrong. had it been an accident the first thought would have been rider error as opposed to mechanical error. thank god he was riding in the right hand lane. he rode a suzuki 1300 for years and never had any problems. he is a very seasoned rider and he has been riding since 93 and we always bought suzuki. now my question is if you have any concern for your customers how do you intend to rectify the situation he purchased the bike from dgy in downers grove. we called to see if they heard a respond from the manufactures no one has responded as if this is a minor situation this is a major situation because this is my husbands life the father of my children. if you have any concern for your consumers please contact me at your earliest convenience. if i am not contacted i will take that as a disregard for your consumers and i will contact the chicago sun times and let the public know about this error.
