2004 f150 right fog light replaced, front kick panel cracked and loose. ***** the floor trim on the passenger side came apart. the vehicle would not start. the check engine light illuminated. the oil pressure read zero. the temperature gauge failed.  view

2004 f150 right fog light replaced, front kick panel cracked and loose. ***** the floor trim on the passenger side came apart. the vehicle would not start. the check engine light illuminated. the oil pressure read zero. the temperature gauge failed.  view

Dt*: the contact stated while driving on a paved road the check oil light illuminated. while the vehicle was idling, the temperature increased. upon inspection the independent repair shop determined the oil pressure had dropped. the oil pump was replaced at a later date. after six months the check oil light illuminated again. the vehicle has not been inspected. updated 3/3/2006 -  view

Dt*: the contact stated the vehicle hydroplanes intermittently while driving normal highway speeds of 55 mph or more. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where the problem could not be duplicated. the contact feels the hydroplaning is related to the vehicle's stability control system, although this has never been confirmed by the dealer. updated 3/3/2006 -  view

Dt*: the contact stated there is a short in the wiring system causing the vehicle to continually blow fuses. this causes the vehicle taillights and dashboard lights to be inoperable. the dealership was unable to find the source of the problem. updated 03/03/06.  view

Dt*: the contact stated the parking brake will not hold properly. the failure gradually became more severe, now the parking brake only holds on small inclines. upon inspection at an inspection station it was determined that the problem was caused by a defective clip in the parking brake. the dealer found a service bulletin # 02-05-26-001 for the parking brake. although the dealer was able to determine the cause of the problem the contact elected not to have the repairs completed. updated 3/3/2006 -  view

Dt*: the contact stated while sitting in the vehicle the driver's seat fell back. there is a nhtsa recall, # 96e010000, regarding the seat bolt. the vehicle has the same problems as indicated in the recall; however it is not included in the recall due to the vin. updated 3/3/2006 - the seat back retaining bolt sheared in half and caused the seat to unexpectedly collapse.  view

Dt*: the contact stated while in park position the vehicle rolled forwards. although the dealership and manufacturer were alerted no repairs have been made.  view

Car was fine at night when parked. airbag fault light came on in the morning, and will not turn off. already as happened before and had airbag replaced. as happened again less than two years later. will keep parts replaced this time.  view

Dt*: the contact stated while driving the vehicle going 55 mph the passenger's side air bag deployed without warning. the windshield was busted due to the airbag deployment. the vehicle was driven home then to the dealership the next day. the dealership could not duplicate the problem as to why the airbag had deployed. the manufacturer has been notified. updated 03/03/06.  view
