1984 CHEVROLET CITATION User Comment / Complaint

Dt*: the contact stated since ownership, the lower ball joints have been replaced three times. the vehicle was purchased at 44,159 miles and has been driven 22,530 miles since purchase. the breakdown on the repairs are; on 12/13/03 at 28,676 miles both lower ball joints were replaced, on 08/05/04 at 35,260 miles-the left lower ball joint and spindle arm were replaced, this was only 6,584 miles since the previous ball joint replacement, and on 12/26/05 at 44,159 miles-both lower ball joints and the right upper control arm were replaced at only 9,331 miles from previous replacement. the contact expressed concerns regarding the continuous repairs to the service manager at the dealership who determined the niagara falls area has the highest rate of failure for ball joints in the country. there were no additional explanations for the extreme rate of failure. most of the miles on the truck are thruway miles. this vehicle has never been in an accident or driven in a manner to cause or aggravate this type of problem.  view

Dt*: the contact owns a cosco high-rise/ambassador backless belt positioning booster seat, model #22-297-flp built on january 25, 2006. while the booster seat was being inspected, the inspector determined there was a clip missing from the seat. the clip that prevents the shoulder strap from pushing on the occupant's neck was missing. the manufacturer of the booster seat informed the contact the clip is no longer being manufactured; therefore they were unable to provide a replacement clip.  view

I own, since new, a 1999 dodge ram pickup truck. the truck has 57,000 miles and is well taken care of. last year i noticed a crack running along the bottom of my dash. after that, they just kept coming one after another. now i can take it apart like a puzzle . one big piece did come out, leaving a gaping hole. i"m waiting for warmer weather to try to fix it. my concern is ,being that the whole dash is in pieces,how secured is the airbag on the pass. side ?  view

Right front (passenger) tire inner shoulder wearing excessively fast due to rubbing on the right front suspension strut tower. excessive wear resulting in premature tire failure / blowout on highway. replaced right front tire and performed alignment, adjusting camber to the extreme positive end of spec range. tire / suspension interference reduced, but still clearance is still dangerously tight.  view

Car will not engage into second gear when cold, other times shifting into second is notching. honda states that car is per their specifications.  view

1) my truck will still out when coasting to red lights or when idling. 2) when the truck stalls, i loose power steering and power breaks, yesterday it died out right on top of some railroad tracks and was giving me trouble trying to restart. it would say "low oil pressure" on start up, however that's because the rpm's weren't high enough to create enough oil pressure. it will then go into engine failsafe mode. 3) the ford dealership says i need a new throttle body and to reflash the pcm. however i have not been able to make the repairs yet because i can not afford them.  view

Dt*: the contact stated the brake indicator light illuminated. the following day while driving 55mph the brake pedal vibrated and traveled to the floor. the vehicle was towed to the dealership. upon inspection the dealer determined there was no brake fluid in the reservoir. the defective seals allowed brake fluid to drain from the brake booster and into the master cylinder. the dealer replaced the reservoir, brake booster and master cylinder.  view

Air bag light indicating the air bag would not deploy in case of an accident stayed on. dealership suggested that the light could come on if i were using an aftermarket cell phone charger while driving the vehicle. ford issued an alert to dealerships that stated same. i was made to go out and buy replacement chargers while the dealership investigated the problem using my car chargers to experiment. after picking up the vehicle the light had not come back on. i was told the ford instructed them to replace the computer located near the radio. i am still shocked to hear that a cell phone charger could cause an airbag to not deploy. ford issued an extended warranty for this vehicle given the serious nature of the failure.  view

I bought a car on 08/06/2005 the sales person told me that it was a purchase and he ask me to sign the blank forms and they were supposed to fill them up and send them to my home address when i received the papers i never checked the information. i have been paying till now but now i tried to talk to the sales person to check my car he told me that i had to pay because i had a lease that was why i called to the nissan motor acceptance corporation and they did not have any information about me they only had information about santos romero. that is why i want to cancel this lease agreement because i didn't want to lease a car i wanted buy a car and they lied me.  view
