Dt: the contact states while driving at 45 mph hit another vehicle on the driver's side door. this caused the vehicle to spin, jump a ditch, and then hit a power pole. upon impact, the airbags did not deploy. the contact sustained injuries including a broken knee cap, hip, and pelvis. the police responded and a report was taken. the vehicle is currently at a ford dealership. the vehicle has front end damage and a bent frame. the vehicle was equipped with a lcd module, but the dealership will not tell her why the airbags did not deploy.  view

Dt: the contact stated vehicle has front air suspension. while driving the front end dropped down too low. this was causing the front tires to rupture. the dealer attempted to repair the vehicle on three different occasions. the dealer replaced the valves, seals, and suspension air bags. he did not know if the last repair has taken care of the problem.  view

Dt: the contact stated gear shifter broke. she had it repaired by a mechanic. currently, the shifter broke again. this resulted the contact's vehicle being involved in a crash. she spoke to a mechanic. he was coming to get the vehicle and repair it. she has not spoken to saturn or general motors.  view

Dt: the contact stated transmission malfunctioned. while driving the wheels intermittently locked. the dealer rebuilt the transmission to try and correct the problem. this did not completely correct the problem. currently, the vehicle will still slip from drive to neutral without manually being changed. the dealer could not duplicate this specific problem.  view

Dt: the contact stated when stopping at low speeds the abs will activate. the dealership said it happened because the abs sensor rusted. the repairs have not been made. the problem was the same as mentioned in nhtsa recall 05v379000 in the 1999-2002 models.  view

The speed sensor fails at speeds between 6 and 9 mpg; resulting in no or limited ability to brake. repeated near accidents have occurred in traffic and in parking situations. the vehicle is being repaired at this time at jim murphy pontiac-gmc truck, inc. 3000 walden ave depew, ny 14043 phone: 716-684-8900 fax: 716-684-9050. i understand gm has recalled practically identical vehicles such as the gm tahoe, suburban, etc. my understanding is that the gmc yukon denali is virtually the same vehicle as the gm tahoe. i would like to understand why that recall is not applied to the gmc yukons.  view

Dt: the contact stated when she placed the granddaughter in the rear seat the buckle would not latch. she was able to use another belt in the rear . two days later the other two rear seat belt buckles failed. the dealer was contacted, and there was no free remedy offered. the dealer was going to provide an estimate for repairs. the contact found nhtsa recall 96v142000 dealing with the same problem in the 1991 jimmy.  view

Here's what i submitted to the dodge website: last night i returned from my dodge dealership after having new brake pads and new rotors installed. the vehicle is driving fine and the brakes are operating perfectly. the assistant service manager, wes, was helpful and professional. however, i don't think spending $900 on new rotors should be required after two years of operation and less than 50,000 miles. i am meticulous about maintenance and tire rotation. i do not ride the truck hard and all of my driving is country, not city, mileage. even your dodge personnel could not give me any reason why this would happen so soon. i am not a certified mechanic, but i believe there is something seriously wrong with either the design of the brakes or the materials or components used in the brake design. i bought a new '91 dodge daytona and said i would never buy another dodge due to problems and maintenance costs. in 2003, i thought i would give dodge another shot and bought a new loaded, dakota truck. rest assured, this will be the last dodge vehicle i ever own. sincerely, william wilson.  view

The fuel line in this car is exposed at the bottom of the car, and twice now (on 11/3/05 and earlier in 12/2003) the fuel line has ripped and gasoline has spilled onto the ground when trying to start the car. the gasoline spill obviously creates a safety hazard.  view
