Lights are blinking off and on constantly when i driving at night. i went to kia dealership in williamsburg. they told me that they couldn't find the problem. that it will take them a couple of days. that i would be charge by the hour. i was so upset i left the dealerships and they charge me 350 dollars and my car was not fix. i was totally rip off by them. i also told them that same day to fix my air conditioner due to it was shutting off and on when i hit the brakes. when i using the gas pedal my air conditioner works and then when i hit the brakes that air conditioner shut off. the kia dealer did not have clue what to do>>>>help!!it also doing this with the heat also.....i not sure on the exact date of service. i will find receipt and bank statements to go along with this.

Referring to our 2004 toyota sienna purchased in aug, 2004, three times, when using the cruise control and engaging the "resume" function, the vehicle accelerated at full throttle and continued doing so past the set speed until stepping on the brake to disengage the cruise control. this resulted in the speed increasing to 5 to 10 miles over the set speed. this is very dangerous and could result in a crash if another vehicle suddenly pulled out in front of my vehicle.

Dt: 2001 ford escape. the consumer found a recall on line, this recall did not pertain to this vehicle due to vin. when driving, the vehicle died, power steering malfunctioned, and the vehicle was hard to control. the vehicle will not keep a idling. . the vehicle is currently at the dealership, and they have not yet contacted the consumer. the problem started two weeks ago, on august 30, 2005. the consumer stated it happened approximately ten times.

My wife was at a gas station filling up both tanks in the truck. when she tried to start it, it would not start. the gas attendant came out and raised the hood and gas was coming out of the overflow canister. he got a fire extinguisher and sprayed it down. no fire but gas had to be washed down before we could have the truck towed in. we were told there was a recall on the 2 tank valve which was pushing gas into the front tank and with no where to go it came out under the hood in the over flow canister. but we were told our vin # was not made at a certain plant. but if this is a factory fault why would it have to be made at a certain plant. we could not efford to fix on our own and were told to fill the front tank only. what happens if my wife forgets and fills both tanks again with our children inside. i think ford motor co should fix this problem.some how this makes the truck hard to start. i am the second owner and have driven the truck since it was new. you can hear the pump runing in the rear tank of and on all the time. 1994 f150 and ford motor co said there was a recall on certain models.

Dt: the consumer stated that 2004, volkswagen toureg experienced loss of acceleration when pulling out. when the car is started in the mornings it is fine, but after the car sits for a couple of hours it starts having a delay in the acceleration when pulling out. this has been happening for a couple of months. the car has been to the dealership three or four times, and they could not fix the problem. the dealer said they were waiting on volkswagen to come up with a solution. the consumer called volkswagen, and they said that the consumer should keep working within the terms of the warranty until the problem was solved. the problem at this point seemed to be intermittent. at this point no one knows what is wrong with the car.

I was driving my 2000 chrysler lhs and the steering failed. i could not turn the car to the left. my major concern was that my 16 year old daughter was using this car to practice driving for her motor vehicle test. if it was her that was driving the car she would of been hurt or killed. i have only 55,000 miles on this car. it had 3 owners all in my family. i asked chrysler and the dealer to cover the $800 repair bill. they of course refused. i contacted chrysler customer service and they refused and were very rude. i contacted the tufano dealership they contacted chrysler and still refused. claiming the mileage was too high. there are may complaints regarding this issue. i am just look for reimbursement. i will not stop until i am satisfied. can you help.

There was no instruction to check/inspect battery cables that were "buried" behind r/f wheel fender well and below engine. when inspected, they were so corroded, that both had to be replaced at significant labor expense which would have been negated by normal preventive maintenance instruction procedures.

The paint on my black 2001 mitsubishi eclipse began to delaminate in october of 2004. i have noticed this same problem with other black mitsubishi cars such as the galant but the eclipses exhibit this problem more frequently. it began as faded areas on the roof then spread to the hood, trunk, sail panels and now to the top rear quarter panels. it seems to be caused by sun damage as a result of insufficient ultraviolet inhibitors in the paint as applied from the factory as i have washed and maintained the paint on a regular basis.

The lease on this vehicle began on october 6, 2003. it has had multiple electrical issues starting less than 30 days after delivery. most recently, september 11, 2005. i have been stranded three times and had to have the car towed twice. each time the onstar did not work because of electrical malfunctions. we no longer have any confidence in this vehicle and if we owned it we would sell it. problems include but are not limited to: * cd player stopped working and was replaced within first 30 days of lease. * brakes replaced within first 60 days of lease. * onstar computer replaced within first 60 days of lease. * vehicle computer updated within first year of lease. this left me stranded and almost required a tow due to inoperative transmission but, the vehicle eventually shifted into limp mode before the tow truck arrived allowing us to drive it to the dealership. * vehicle computer updated again within first year of lease. * onstar computer repaired again within first year of lease. * door handles faded and replaced within second year * parking break stuck and vehicle required a tow within second year of lease. * engine immobilizer malfunction requiring another tow of the vehicle within second year of lease. we were told that the battery abruptly died. * trip computer must be reset after gas is added in order to show correct distance to empty. * miles between oil changes seem incorrect. we are at 27000 miles and have only had one oil change. the dealership continues to tell us to wait until the computer requests the service.

There are two problems with this model of jeep grand cherokee laredo. 1) the tail light socket in this model of jeeps constantly burns out. i have replaced this socket numerous times at $8.00 - $10.00 each and have kept all of the burned out sockets as evidence. when the socket burns out, the tail lights stop working once you turn the headlights on. my vehicle has automatic headlights and this truly causes a big problem. i've visited a jeep / chrysler junk yard in my area and checked each tail light socket. each socket is burned out like each of the sockets that i have in my possession. 2) the outside rail that connects the drivers seat to the risers breaks, converting the drivers seat to a rocking chair. i have spoken with the service and parts departments all of the jeep dealers in a 100 mile radius of zip code (20744) and was told that these issues are a common problem with jeeps from 1994 to 2004. i have also spoken with several friends as well as common strangers who i see with this same model jeep and have learned that they also have this problem and the below problems. i believe that this problems are a safety issue and warrant a safety recall. i have received two tickets on two separate occasions for the tail lights alone. i can understand having to change a light bulb every year or two but not the socket that the bulb plugs into. this is a serious defect that chrysler will not address. please help!

Dt: the consumer stated that the 2004 cadillac escalade was having an electrical problem. the speedometer failed along with the rpms, the levers were misreading the information. the lights were blinking on and off and became very dim and yellowish. the bright lights were very dim also. the instruments on steering wheel were getting very warm, and they were not suppose to, specifically stated the consumer. the navigation system was having problems reading information. the vehicle has been in the repair shop. the dealership could not duplicate the problem. the dealership has not been able to fix the problem. the consumer has called gm, and they will not call the consumer back. the electrical problem has not been fixed at this point. the consumer has an appointment to have the vehicle checked within the next week.

Suspect failure of electronic throttle control module. vehicle stalls without warning and does not always restart until vehicle cools. a foreign car service technician looked at the problem and informed me that the current electronic throttle control was not functioning in his opinion. on 9/13/05 i called volvo service representative b.j. alger at don beyer volvo, dulles, virginia who advised me to bring it n for repair immediately. alger said the problem is under investigation by nhtsa and that volvo north america would reimburse my payment for the repair if the investigation resulted in a recall. alger estimated the repair at $1,200.00.

I was driving down the highway and my car suddenly swerved/veered and i had to fight for control of the vehicle. i barely avoided having an accident. it had rained the night before but was not raining when this occurred. this is the third time that this has happened since i bought the car in january 2004. the second time this happened, it was a sunny day this summer. i was on a city street and again driving straight when the car suddenly swerved. i had a passenger in the car with me. the first time was in the spring of 2004, a couple of months after i bought the car. i was on the freeway. i had just completed a lane switch and was going straight when the car swerved/veered. i almost collided with the median. after this third occurrence, i knew there was something wrong with the car. i made an appointment with the dealership i bought the car from and brought it in. after a 5 minute road test, the dealer said that they couldn't replicate the problem i was describing. the dealer told me if i wanted to pay for an inspection, they can further inspect the car to see what was wrong with it. i asked them to go ahead because i didn't want to get into an accident as a result of this problem. the dealer just called and informed me that after a 15 minute inspection, they did not see anything out of the ordinary. my problem is similar to that in complaint #10127778. please look into the problem.

Dt: the contact owns a 1993 ford explorer. the contact stated that on september 3, 2005 vehicle caught on fire. the fire was reported to the insurance company, and because the contact did not have full coverage nothing was covered by them. also, the fire was reported to ford . the fire occurred while the vehicle was parked for four hours. the contact's husband was home while this happened and he saw flames and called 911, the fire department/police department reported to the scene. the fire caused damage to the contact's house because the siding melted from the heat of the fire. the cruise control was identified as the cause of the fire. although the mechanic could not find a problem with the cruise control it would not automatically shut off by pressing the brakes. had to switch it to off. the cruise control had been a problem with the vehicle for a couple of months prior to the fire.

I have had this happen twice in less than 15 months. the 2001 saturn vue's horn becomes jam due to problems with the airbag. according to the mechanics at the saturn dealership the airbag presses down on the horn and jams it causing it to go off non stop, the only way to turn it off is to disconnect the fuse. the second time this happened to me according to the dealership it fried the horn connection in the steering wheel, my concern about this since its happen to me so often is could it accidentally set off the airbag? also can this be a fire hazard due to the cables being burnt within the steering wheel? i would be willing to let you guys inspect my automobile. in order to repair this the whole airbag system, and horn needs to be repair.

2001 impala - fuel pressure regulator failure; continued intermittent gasoline odors: increasingly strong gasoline odors over several weeks sent me to dealer 7/6/05 where it was determined that fuel pressure regulator diaphram had failed - replaced; returned to dealer 7/22 because of continued gasoline odors - a test port cap had not been replaced on 7/6; 7/23-26 - car not driven (out of town); 7/29 - slight odor 3 times; 7/30 - strong odor; 8/1 - dealer found no leaks or odor; 8/1 - five minutes after leaving dealer, slight odor; 8/2-5 - car at dealer being checked and double checked; fuel pressure regulator possibly replaced again; 8/10-11 - odor checked again; driven 104 miles by 'sensitive nose' technician; no odor detected or leaks found; 8/18-21 - car not driven (out of town); 8/23 - strong odor; 8/25 - slight odor; 8/27 - slight odor twice; 8/30 - strong odor; 9/1 - slight odor; 9/4 - slight odor; 9/7 - ?slight odor?; 9/9 - strong odor that lasted 2-3 minutes; 9/9 - car back at dealer for work on 9/12-?

Engine caught on fire on my 1999 dodge stratus. parked vehicle and went inside the store, and came out and vehicle was on fire. had the vehicle towed to my house. contacted dodge, they sent out an inspector to review the vehicle. the inspector said, the vehicle should have exploded and do not fix the vehicle, dodge will fix this for you. rec'd a letter from dodge, stating they denied my claim to fix vehicle, but would not offer any reason. they also would not give me a copy of the inspection report, they indicated that i would have to hire an attorney to get a subpoena to get a copy of the report. called the inspector back, found that really strange they always give the reports out and they must be hiding something. called dodge 4 different times and they were rude and hung up on me. they would not transfer me to any one, and did not answer my questions. this is my only vehicle, i thank god everyday that my children were not in the vehicle at that time. now i have to rely on other means of transportation for myself to get to work and my children to school. this is very difficult with 2 school age children and 1 infant.

My hyundai 2003 xg 350 had incidents of lurching powerfully forward or backward even though my foot would be pressed hard on the brakes. it happened three times. the third time it did it, i had it in reverse with my foot on the brakes and while my wife was trying to enter the car on the passenger seat side, the car rabbit jumbed backward and cause her injuries that warranted taking her to the emergency room on september 12 2005. i searched the internet and found out that many other owners had the same exact experience and that they all had trouble convincing hyundai of the problem. if they can't duplicate the behavior then they refuse to fix the porblem. i try to duplicate the behavior and it took me about 15 tries to succeed. some internet complainers report that they succeeded in convincing the dealership of the problem and had to replace the whole transmission for them. hyunday should admit the problem and recall cars.

Dt: the contact owns a 2001 chevrolet silverado, extended cab. the contact stated that when using the braking system had to press on the brake pedal three times to get the vehicle to come to a complete stop. the first time when the contact pressed on the brake pedal it was completely hard and would not stop the vehicle, the second time the pedal was depressed it pulsated. the third time when applying the brakes it allowed the vehicle to abruptly stop as if the contact was panic braking. the contact contacted the manufacturer. they told him to contact a local service dealer to have the vehicle inspected to see if it was the same problem as stated in the recall. then, they would consider repairing the vehicle. there is a recall on the year, make, and model of vehicle, but the consumer does not live in the salt belt states. the contact lives approximately 30 miles or less to the state line that separates west virginia, which is included in the recall, and virginia, the state in which the consumer lives in.

Dt: the contact's wife owns a 2003 hyundai sonata. the contact stated that there was problem with the braking system. she heard noises, but thought it was noises coming from the roadway. the first time the vehicle experienced brake problems was at 13,873 mile. , the service dealer stated that the rotors were glazed and had hot spots on them. the service dealer turned the rotors without the contact's knowledge. this did not remedy the problem. at 28,000 miles, the contact heard a loud noise, such as an airplane going over the vehicle. the contact took the vehicle to the dealer. they stated that it would be approximately $25.00 per wheel to inspect the vehicle to determine the cause of the problem. the contact took the vehicle to dealer, who had lubricated the front brake slides and replaced the rear brake pads. this did seem to have fixed the problem. the contact was going to take the vehicle to dealer to have the 30,000 mile routine maintenance performed to make sure that there was no longer a problem with the brakes. the contact contacted the manufacturer, and they have agreed to reimburse the contact for the repairs.

Dt: the contact states he was working on a vehicle in customer car shop in miami. he was taking the doors off when within 15 minutes to a 1/2 hour he smelled smoke. the whole dashboard underneath the steering wheel was on fire. everything under the hood caught on fire. the fire spread from the dashboard to the back of the car. the fire department seem to think it was electrical. the whole shop burned down because of the vehicle fire. the fire department was called. two fire marshals came and they questioned the wiring. the police department was also called. this happened on 9-22-05.

Dt: there was a cam adjuster from where the oil leak was coming from. noticed this on august 8, 2003. then, on july 24, 2004 took the vehicle for an oil change a nd they confirmed there was another oil leak. the warranty expired in november 2005, and the consumer made arrangements for the gaskets to be replaced a month before the warranty ran out. in order to get to the gaskets the cam shafts had to be removed. the gaskets were replaced,, and cam shaft reinstalled, then gave it a tune up. also, put in two different types of spark plugs; one set was platinum and conventional. a week later, it was ready for pick up. the exhaust sounded different when vehicle picked up. on january 31, 2005 took vehicle to another mechanic because the check engine was on. at that point mechanic determined o2 sensors caused the light to come on, and the exhaust sounded differently. then, three months later, the exhaust cam shaft that broke it bent valves in cylinder head and caused it to crack.

Dt: on september 10, 2005 while driving on the road and the vehicle shook. originally thought it was a flat tire, but there was not a flat tire. vehicle is at dealership, there are no codes showing up, have to wait for the problem to happen again, it shakes as if as going down road at 55 mph with a flat tire. the steering wheel was shaking and the vehicle seemed sluggish like it did want to go. when slowing down the vehicle the vibration would slow down. then, on september 22, 2005 went to apply the brakes and the light came on in the dashboard . after another five or six miles the brake pedal started vibrating, but like a smaller vibration compared to the vibrating. the dealership is looking at the brakes now also.

Dt: noticed that around september 1, 2004 that the designed seat of the second row seats hinge in the front seat locks on the back. when locking the seat it appears that they are lock. but, in reality, they are not locking in the back of second row seat. there is no indication that the seat is not properly locked. when children are in the seat and its is not locked it will rotate forward. the row in front features a hard plastic handle that if the children would hit would cause even more damage when not properly locked down. this happened with the consumer's child in the vehicle, and the entire weight of the seat was on him. he hit the back front seat, and this broke teeth. contacted manufacturer and they just complaint.

Dt: the contact owns a 2002 saturn l200 that had complete brake failure. while traveling 60 mph , and when applying the brakes there were no brakes. the contact had to pump the brakes about 4 times before had any braking capability. the contact drove the vehicle 40 miles experienced no problems since this incident. the service dealer could not find the cause of the problem. the service dealer examined the brake pads/rotors/ calipers, but there were no problems. no warning lights illuminated. the only clue that there was something wrong with the brakes was approximately two weeks ago,there was a high pitch ringing in the rear end of the vehicle while driving at high speeds and the noise would stop when the consumer applied the brakes. the contact examined the rear wheels, but did not find anything and the noise stopped for a few days. the noise started again right before the contact's vehicle had brake failure. the vehicle was taken to the dealer and inspected. they claimed that everything looked normal and that there was no loss of fluid.

I own a 1999 volvo v70xc. while driving to work on 9/8/05, suddenly the electronic throttle system (ets) light lit up on my driver control panel, and i lost a considerable amount of acceleration as i was driving through an intersection. i quickly pulled over to the side of the road, and checked my owner's manual. as the manual instructed, i contacted my mechanic from the road and he suggested i bring it in right away. after several stops & driving on the shoulder i made it to my mechanic (15 miles) who was actually surprised i had been able to drive it there at all. he told me the ets would probably need to be replaced at approximately $950 to $1150. i was floored by the news, especially since it seemed to be a safety issue. after some investigating i found out that there is a class action suit against volvo concerning the ets, and i'm going to complain as much and as loudly as i can about this matter. i am extremely frustrated--my car is sitting in the driveway because it is unsafe to drive, and i don't feel i should have to spend $1000 to have it fixed if there is pending litigation for a campaign to recall the car for the ets. my husband and i bought this car because we knew volvo had a reputation for being a very safe car--so much so that we bought a 2001 volvo v70xc--two wagons in one family! now we're considering selling both cars. i'm extremely disgusted about this matter. ellenore pringle.

My wife was driving our volvo xc (2001) back from the grocery store. in exiting the store parking lot she had make a left turn onto rt. 24w in mendham, nj from a stop sign. as she got on to the single lane highway the car stalled leaving her without power in the middle of a single lane highway with our 2 year old son in the back seat. incoming traffic suddenly had to come to a stop in order not to hit her car. she was able to move the car to the side of the road and restart it and make the 5 minute trip back home. the car was not able to make the slight incline up the driveway. the next morning i was able to start the car and take it to the volvo dealer. all along the trip the felt like it was going to stall any minute. i kept a constant speed and did not take any chances with sudden acceleration or passing. after the dealer service department looked at the car i was informed that the throttle assembly needed to be replaced. the repair cost me $1004.52. (i kept the repair invoice) the car had 56157 miles on it and had just come off the manufacturers warranty. i called volvo north america to complain and they said somebody would get back to me. i then got a call from the dealer. apparently volvo passed the buck the dealer and all they told me was that they simply repaired my car. after reading about your probe of volvo cars specific to the kind of problem we had i decided to file a complaint.

I was driving on sr 70 when i felt my jeep slugging then i looked at the gauge and noticed that it was all the way to the boiling point. then i pulled over to the side of the road because i wasn't sure what had happened. called my dad he came and looked at my jeep and found that the fan had busted we had been able to put enough water in it to get it to wal-mart where we came to the conclusion that it had a hole in the radiator. there was pieces everywhere from the shroud. the next day had it towed to firkins in bradenton it was out of warranty so i ended up paying $1131.45 for this to be fixed. now ever since this has been fixed my check engine light comes on for awhile then goes off. this happened with the fan on 8/17/04 now both power windows in the back are not working just the other day my son got out of the jeep shut the door and down came the window neither of the back windows work had it checked out and it will cost me 300.00 per window for the bearings what is going to happen next the front ones. i thought when i bought this brand i was getting a good value but turns out all i have had is a nightmare.

Dt: the consumer stated that her transmission seemed to be slipping. she had taken the vehicle to dealership three times to be examined. the dealership could not find the cause of the problem. the consumer stated that the problem occurred between 20-40 mph. this was an intermittent problem but occurred more frequently. when this happened the consumer had to pull the vehicle over and place the vehicle in park then back to drive. even though there was a temporary fix, the vehicle was still hard to pull over when in traffic. the consumer had been in contact with kia, and they took her information and had the dealership call her back. when the consumer was at the dealer, they simply examined the vehicle, then gave it back to the consumer and told her that there was nothing they can find that is wrong. the dealership made the uncomfortable when they treated her like she made up the problem. the consumer is considered applying for the lemon law in her state. (12/08/05) the rpms would increase but the vehicle would not go faster. kia replaced the computer board in relation to the transmission. updated 1/25/2006 -

There is currently a national recall on the nissan murano. i own a 2004 murano and was instructed by nissan corp. to take it to a dealer and have the work done because the problem could cause an accident. i attempted to take the vehicle to victory nissan dealership on battlefield blvd in chesapeake, virginia and was informed that there is a national back order on the recalled part in question. i was also informed that it would take three to four months before they could get to my vehicle. this seems unacceptable for a recall with potential life-threatening problems. hope you can help.

The psd on our 2001 ford windstar opened while driving the vehicle with our two small children in the back seat. with the car off, parked and children in their seats, my wife closed the psd with door button in post. door would not activate. after several pushes on the outside handle, the door closed with power and engaged. after driving several minutes the driver side psd tried to open while she was driving the vehicle. the door opened half way. my wife push the door button on the ceiling and it began to close again. then it closed and reversed 3 to 4 inches and closed again. then it repeated the 3 to 4 inches closed and could not be operated. it stayed closed until she reached her destination (10 mins). when she stopped the passenger psd opened on its own. the drivers psd would not open at all power or manual. the children left the van through the passenger psd. we took the car to ford the next day. they replaced the door switches and contact pads and the power door lock motor on the stuck driver side slider door. the car was outside of warranty (57,000) and we paid $556.44 for the repairs. by sept 12, the driver side power sliding door was opening again by itself, this time while it was in a park mode. we returned the car to ford, they could not determine a problem and suggested replacing the sliding door hinge, they thought they saw wear. but they could not say if this would solve the problem. we did not complete the second repair ($250) since it was a guess. we have the parts replaced for the recent repair. the doors worked poorly since we first bought the car. these included two warranty services for the same issue of psd opening on their own or not closing on 6/20/2003 and 9/12/2003. with the first ford replaced the b-pillar switches and the second could not diagnose a problem. since ford has again been unable to find a problem on 9/12/2005 and we are nervous about it occurring again with the children being hurt or falling out while the vehicle is moving.

Dt: there is a defect within the ignition coil system. the vehicle misfires, and it does not get the mileage that it used to get. this started on august 1, 2005. contacted the dealer, and they advised to call the complaint line. the service engine light comes on before it misfires. cannot get the vehicle to pass smog inspection when this happens. the dealership claims it will cost $700 to fix.

I was driving in the local streets, and while making a right turn after stopping at a red light, the front passenger side of the vehicle suddenly collapsed with no warning. i was traveling at most 10 mph. the vehicle has never showed any sign of failure or noise until that day. after i pulled over to the side of the road, i got out of the vehicle to inspect the car and found the ball joint in upper control arm had completely tear itself apart from the wheel hub. fortunately for me, no serious damage to the car other than the failed components and worn tires due to my having to drag the car on the side of the tire to pull over to safety occurred. i was not injured in the incident, but had i been driving on the highway at the time of failure, i wouldn't be here typing this. afterwards, we had aaa tow the car to a local dealership to see whether toyota will take responsibility of the failure of its part.

Positive battery terminal has failed 3 times on my 1997 pontiac grand prix. the first time was still under warranty in 1999. the dealer replaced with another delco battery. the second time was june, 2004, delco would not replace the battery under warranty so i replaced with wal everstart battery. then, in august, 2005, the battery positive terminal broke again. this time, battery acid destroyed a vacuum that controls the inside heater vents rendering hvac adjustments inoperative. i have read other accounts of this being some type of defect in the battery cable. i have asked gm and my gm dealer and have repeatedly been told there is nothing wrong with the battery cable. gm claims no awareness of this being an issue.

In june of 2004, the air conditioning failed in my 2001 montana mini-van. one day it worked, the next it didn't. took it to a mechanic and was told the a/c condenser had to be replaced. also was told that this was a common problem with the montanas. we were 10,000 miles past the warranty and had to pay $800 for this fix. if this is a common problem, why hasn't it been recalled?

Dt: 2003 jeep grand cherokee. the consumer stated driver's side rear tire sidewall disintegrated. there is only 31,000 miles on the vehicle. the rest of the tires were weather rotted. these tires have never been repaired. they were the original tires on the vehicle. goodyear, p255/75r16. the tire was taken to the dealership. instead, it should have been taken to goodyear. there was no wreck when this happened. the tires were properly maintained. it is a leased vehicle.

This is the 3rd incident in which while driving the car power has been lost to my 2005 paciifica. in all instances the dash would go out and the engine would not rev and the oil light would come on. this last time on 09/07/05 the engine lost power as well. a little tough to swallow when it is your wife and 3 year old in the car. has been to the dealer for all three problems and no resolution as well as no registration of problems in the computer. my issue has not been resolved and i pursuing ohio lemon law of serious injury or death could occur.

2002 honda odyssey van 1. transmission recall issued oct 2004, vehicle brought into dealer (honda house, st. cloud mn) 60,000 miles. dealer certified that transmission was ok, no work done. 2. at 65,000 miles transmission made banging noise when put into reverse and when cold. transmission also shifted fast. 3. at 93,000 miles, transmission slipped from drive to neutral when driving down road, check engine light appeared. 4. vehicle was brought in for checking and transmission fluid change. 5. dealer indicated transmission was failing. 6. dealer said previous model years 2000 and 2001 had similar transmission problems.

After bringing my car to the dealership, i was informed that i needed back brakes. i took the car to my mechanic and he informed me that my brake pads and rotors were completely rusted through and rotted. this could have potentially caused the car to become unable to stop. i had to replace all four brakes (routine), brake pads, and rotors. my car only has 40,000+ miles on it.

Dt: the contact owns a 1999 oldsmobile alero. the contact states that she hit a pot hole and the air bag deployed. the air bag was possibly defective because it did not completely deploy, the air bag on the right side ejected and it bent open. it looked as if tissue was coming out of the vehicle, the driver side air bag did not completely deploy. this occurred 34 mph. the manufacturer was contacted, and they told her that there was nothing that they could do about vehicle and urged her to contact the insurance company. no injuries were reported. also, a bad odor come from the air bag. this cracked the steering wheel and the dash board. it occurred almost a year ago. the air bag warning light was not on prior to the deployment.
