Note: vehicle is not a vl1500, it is a suzuki burgman 650 motorscooter which was not a choice on your dropdown models. speedometer is completely inaccurate on my brand new 2005 suzuki burgman 650 motorscooter. while driving my motorscooter, i cannot get an accurate reading on whether i'm going too fast or too slow. sometimes this speedometer is at least 20 mph faster than what i am traveling. i have taken the bike back to the dealership and i am being told by both the dealer and suzuki that a 10% margin of error is acceptible by suzuki as being accurate enough to drive on the american highways. i checked with the local police and highway patrols and was informed that when a speed limit is posted that is what you should be driving - not 10% plus or minus. i am also being instructed by suzuki that i should be able to mentally calculate the maximum 10% difference on the speedometer while driving in mountain conditions and crowded highways creating a serious safety factor. i would like to have this fixed. there are 2 suzuki brugman 650's that were purchased from the same dealership within the same week, both are now in the shop for the same repairs. both owners have been instructed that they will not be fixed and they must be ridden in this unsafe condition. i would appreciate nhtsa help in resolving this serious safety violation.  view

I drive volvo 960 station wagon, 1994. i have had 2 episodes of the car suddenly losing speed on the freeway and last week had a hair raising experience of the car losing all power while in the fast lane of the freeway. all power to the car quit and i am lucky that my children and i were not injured or killed. today in the san diego union tribune newspaper i read a small article regarding the nhtsa is opening a preliminary study regarding volvo's c70, s60, s70 v70 and v70xc 1999-2001 models due toloss of speed and stalling problems. even though my car is older than these models, i too have the same issue. it is truely terrifying and dangerous.  view

Late evening on the 22nd , or early morning, of july 23rd i rented a volvo s80 from hertz corporatio dia location and later on the morning of the 23rd drove with my family from denver to carbondale along i-70 at highway speeds. shortly after arriving in carbondale my youngest son and i went from the house at which we were staying to the local 7/11 for a few supplies. while in the parking lot the front axel, driver¿¿s side, disconnected from the vehicle. had this happened a few hours earlier on the interstate i doubt that i would be able to author this.  view

Brakes are slow and difficult to engage; produce long stops or none. toyota says brakes are functioning as they're designed to (which means brakes are designed to be unsatisfactory) and does nothing; arbitration hearing found in favor of toyota, despite consumer reports (2005) finding that brakes were spongy and stops long. i'm not sure why this is the case but suspect drum type brake not adequate for car of this weight; however, the whole system may be at fault. the consumer was told the performance of the brakes was due to a device called a double or dual link pedal assembly that will soon be required in all new vehicles.  view

Dt: the contact owns a 2001 dodge ram 2500 diesel engine. the vehicle acted as if it was running out of fuel, but not all the time. if the temperature range was over 100 degrees then this was when the problem occurred. the problem was intermittent. the engine temperature was about 190-195 degrees that did not go up. the vehicle stalled because of this problem. consumer had this problem for three years, and currently the vehicle ha 93,000 miles on it. also, had an extended warranty which ran out the july 19, 2005. the vehicle was taken to dealer for service four to five times four of those times it was the same problem, and each time they thought they corrected the problem, but they have not been able to do so. on august 4, 2005 consumer went to a dealership, not a dodge dealership, two vehicles there had same problem as consumer's vehicle. dealership has not been able to correct problem. mechanic changed the transmission sensor, and the fuel pump, and that still had not solved the problem.  view

Wife needs to sit on a cushion with a cutout to ease pressure on her tailbone. she has a statement from the dr. to do this. with the cushion in place on the passengers seat, the airbag sensor in the seat will not detect her presence, and therefore the airbag is turned off. without the cushion the airbag is turned on.  view

I am having problems with my car cutting off while driving. strangely, first it started out cutting off whenever i would make a right turn. the car would just cut off, all the lights in the dash would come on. i have had three auto repair places look at it. of course i was advised to do several things which they thought would fix the problem. it did not. well the lastest and worst happened on 8/6 when the car cut off while driving and on a busy street. fortunately, i was able to coast to the far side and switch the car off and it started right back up. please i need help. i am scared to get on the interstate in fear that it will shut down on me.  view

The rear driver side power window failed. there was a loud pop and the window slid half way down and would not go back up. i talked to my mechanic, and he said that it was a cable that broke. he knew instantly because he had replaced many of them in similar buick lesabres. we know of two friends personally who have had the same problem. for one friend, it happened on more than one window in her car. to get it fixed at the dealership cost nearly $500. it appears to us that this is a faulty part and that the auto maker should recall and repair it at their cost.  view
