1986 PORSCHE 944 User Comment / Complaint

Stalling at idle, engine codes 171,174 both banks lean fuel mixture. repaired at dealer $450 for pvc hose failure. others have the same failure.  view

Fuel indicator gauge fluctuates between fuel supply and empty, and low fuel alarm activates even when fuel tank is full. attempted to track actual fuel supply by overhead console display, but that display fluctuates with fuel indicator gauge also. while driving, even with full tank, fuel indicator gauge and low fuel alarm keeps activating. the only time it is possible to be sure of fuel supply is when fuel tank is refueled. told dealership service department of problem while in for service, but they stated they were not aware of any problem with the fuel indicator gauge. following this, i wrote daimler chrysler corp. in 2002 informing them that i was having this problem with not only my personal jeep cherokee laredo, but also with the fire department's vehicle. i received a telephone call from daimler chrysler concerning my letter, and they also said they were not aware of any problem. upon speaking to other owners of jeep cherokees, i have learned that there are others experiencing the same problem, which is not only a source of aggravation, but also a distraction when the alarm activates. one individual i spoke to informed me that when she complained of the problem at her dealership, she was told that when she fuel her vehicle to replace the gas cap and turn it until it clicked 3 times, which is ludicrous.  view

I was stopped on a state route to make a turn and was rear ended by a vehicle traveling about 50 mph. my shoulder belt did not work properly. the belt did not break, the lap portion held me in the vehicle but the shoulder belt allowed me to hit the steering wheel with my head/mouth. i suffered injuries. the part has been replaced with much hassle from insurance. old part may be available.  view

The consumer noticed that when the vehicle was on a flat surface it would not leak fluid, but if the vehicle was on a incline the vehicle would leak fluid from underneath the vehicle. the consumer contacted a dealer for an appointment. the mechanic informed the consumer that the pressure and return line hose needed replacement. the leak was from the power steering pressure hose which had split. the vehicle check engine light illuminated on the dash.  view

The roof of the truck was soft, it buckled when the consumer went through a car wash. while driving at freeway speeds with the side window opened half way, pressure built up inside the vehicle which caused the roof to buckle.  view

I purchased a 2003 bmw 325i last year . from san diego bmw and i had 3 or more tire blow out ever since , and is all from the same side of the car (left rear) . i got brand new tires , rotation alignment , anything i can think of. from the same dealer i purchased my car from . my last tire blow out was on nov. 20,2004 from the tire i had repair on at the dealer service dept.)and it happened two days after i had my car service, and tire repair . (i call the service dept. all they can tell me was to get new tires. )  view

Problems with 2000 chevrolet silverado rotors, wheels, tailgate strap, drive shaft, and 4-wheel drive. nar see odi#10037613 es03-006296. at 12000 miles both rear rotors had to be replaced, 2000 miles later both front rotors had to be replaced. a clunking sound was heard in the rear of the vehicle. the consumer believes it either the rear suspension or drive shaft. all four of the vehicle's wheels had to be replaced at 6000 miles because they were rusting. the tailgate strap broke at 17000 miles. when the four wheel drive was engaged there was a growling noise.  view
