Dt: the contact owns a 2003 jeep liberty. the vehicle had a recall on the ball joints and they serviced the vehicle. but on august 10, 2005 while traveling about 10-15 mph the lower ball joint on driver's side fell out. about thirty minutes afterwards while driving on a very busy parkway at about 55-65 mph and if the ball joint fell out the recall work did not solve the problem .

Ever since i have bought the 2003 hyundai elantra new 2 years ago, i had nothing but problems. i have had serious exhaust problems, and have been to the dealer several times about this. i have been really sick, breathing in the fumes from the car. my carbon monoxide level is high, and i have been having trouble breathing for a long time now. the dealer refuses to see a problem with the car. i have had people drive in my car, and smell this exhaust. the exhaust smells like a skunk, and backs up through the front inside vents, it smells behind the car, and i cannot open the windows, because the smell is so strong it comes through the windows when opened to. the dealer keeps saying they don't smell anything. this is a very serious matter, and it amazes me that people care about money, instead of someone's health and safety.

Dt: the safety sensor that controls the electronic system for the air bags ( srs sensor) failed. the manufacturer neglected to tell consumer never to get the seat wet or never open the windows during rain. the sensor is located in the front passenger seat and when the seat got wet/damp the system was not longer good. it got wet once before and had to replace it but was not told it would be a problem if it got wet. the problem happened again but this time the warranty has expired and the dealer refused to repair it unless the consumer paid for it. this happened july 25, 2005.

While driving approximately 65-70 mph on an interstate, my vehicle just died - no warning. this was the second time it had happened. there is no power & must be pulled off the road & restarted. this is a very dangerous condition - rapid deceleration on a congested highway could be fatal. when i took it to the dealer, they told me nothing showed up on the computer, therefore nothing was wrong with the car. talking to the saturn customer service rep returned the same response. i am very afraid to drive this vehicle, it is a very hazardous condition and the car is only one year old. it is a 2004 saturn ion. the dealer refuses to replace anything because "nothing is wrong.

1999 chrysler 300m, driving along freeway at 60 mph, sudden deceleration. big scare for wife coming home in rush hour. speedometer read zero, and the transmission was stuck in first gear. could not get car to shift into another forward gear, still would go into reverse. had to call tow truck to tow through houston, 65 miles to home on west side. $165.00 for tow alone. this issue, i see, is common with this car. why doesn't chrysler address this problem??? tcm transmission control module, or transmission solenoid pack may be to blame, i think it's the transaxle output speed sensor, since speedo is not working. transmission had no prior sign of problems. love those computers. sure do hate them in my car.

Dt: the car was a rental car. the driver rented it last week. the contact was driving on interstate in the right lane and driver's knee hit the key and the car shut off. the driver lost power steering, and had to come to a stop in the middle of the highway. the driver had the same problem again on an off ramp. the car shut off and he lost power steering, had to coast to a stop again. the local chyrsler dealership advised that there was a government mandate that requires that the key be located on the dashboard. the owner contacted rental company upon return, and made a complaint. the driver wanted others to know. the vin number not listed because the contact was not the owner, this was a rental car.

I attempted to install a car seat for a 3 year old child in the back seat of my 2005 grand cherokee. however, the head rest interfered with proper installation of the car seat. the head rest would not allow the seat to be tightly mounted to the back seat of the car, but rather held the child seat out by about 2-3 inches. this prevented the seat from being safely installed. it is very difficult to remove the head rest from this vehicle. i had to take it to the dealer to get this done. but when the head rest is removed, there are two "prongs" that protrude out, making the situation even more dangerous. i called chrysler to get advice on what to do. they said go to the dealer, but the dealer could not solve the problem either. i then called chrysler again, and they insisted this is not a problem. but it is! daimler- chrylser needs to address this problem. it is a design flow. at the very least they should provide a list of infant car seats that can be properly installed -- if any such seats exist.
