1987 SUBARU GL User Comment / Complaint

Dt: contact went to have brakes checked on 8-3-05, just a routine check, and the mechanic noticed that left front caliper bolts were incorrect and have damaged the steering knuckles. he told her the left front wheel was spinning inside the knuckles, within 7 months after purchasing the car had to replace the transmission. also, the ignition switch was bad.  view

Dealer states that my vehicle (vin4m2du55p2vuj42868) is not included in the recall for 1997 mercury mountaineer sway bar links 00s47- recall id#00v402000. i don't understand why my vehicle should be excluded even though it is a 1997 mountaineer. i would like some compensation from ford motor company.  view

Dt: on july 16, 2005 while traveling at 55 mph consumer's vehicle was involved in a head on collision with another vehicle. totaled the other vehicle. upon impact, the air bags did not deploy. vehicle has not been inspected to see why theair bags did not deploy. air bag light came on. consumer called the dealership, and they advised consumer not drive the vehicle to the dealership because the airbags might deploy. the vehicle was taken to the body shop yesterday to be fixed. the consumer sprained back and neck. a police report was issued.  view

Dt: contact owned a 2005 dodge sprinter 3500. the contact stated that the vehicle stalled while driving. this mostly occurs while the vehicle decelerated. happened several times while driving at 25 mph, and it happened approximately eight times. attempts were made to repair vehicle, but it was for different issues. because this problem was intermittent they thought the auto service department fixed the vehicle, but problem recurred. contact's was concerned that this vehicle transported high school children and did not want to see it stall intermittently. while driving the vehicle will shut off lights on the dash, abs light and the track light on the dash stays on. clockspring sensor and anti-lock brake module replaced. stall outs caused by accelerator pedal position lock voltage too high. accelerator pedal replaced.  view
