Accelerator on vehicle stuck on interstate highway. tried to put vehicle into neutral however rpm's spun to 7000. had to eventually turn car off in drive after riding approximately 2 miles with both feet on brake. dealership unable to identify any issues, and told me "it'll probably not happen again"  view

Power sliding doors require a lot of force to stop and reverse the direction. i am very concerned for my children exiting the van. dealership states that this is normal for this van because as the vehicle ages it requires more force to close.  view

2003 impala. brakes started to pulsate severely at slightly over 36000 miles. since brake problems are usually not covered by warranty (and it had expired anyhow), i took it to a locally reliable auto repair garage. he suspected a warped front rotor (as i did also). removed and replaced both front rotors and pads. the pulsation was still there. removed both rear rotors. both were badly scored on the inside - not visible during routine inspection. in addition, both rotors were partially crystalized, again on the inside. the pads here were also scored badly. after reading reports on 2003 impalas on mycarstats.com, i decided to add my complaint to the list there, all similar in nature. old parts are not available.  view

Rock chips, rusting spots, only had the vehicle for 5 months.  view

Dt: consumer states she received a recall letter; the engine light came on in may. . so she took it a dealer; they had done a transmission fluid check before this. 3 weeks later on may 16, the engine light came one and they ( the dealership) told her there was a recall on the vehicle and they would order the parts. it would be ready by 6-24-04. on the 24th, they called and said they had broken an axle and would have to order the parts overnight and it would be ready on 6-25 at 2pm. she called at 1:30 and they said they hadn't received the parts yet. at 3:40 she called again and they said it was ready. they drove to get the car. after that the maintenance light came on. when they turned the car off it would not turn back on again. her husband checked the car and all of the transmission fluid was leaking out. they called the dealership and talked to randy; he gave them a rental to go back home. they (the dealership) drove to her home (an hour away) on monday 6-27 and dropped off her car and got their rental. they told her the srs light was on because the battery was weak. they replaced the battery. the srs light was still on; they called the dealership and made an appt. to bring the car back. they are upset because the srs light was not on before. the clock on the car will not turn on. the automatic lock system will not work. the alarm system doesn't work. consumer did not have a recall number.  view

Dt: the consumer owns a 1994 chevy silverado 1500. consumer states that he does not have adjusters on his back brakes. in order for the consumer to adjust the back brakes, he has to take the wheels and the hub off to adjust them . when the wheel is put back on, it was so loose that the vehicle did not have any brakes. gm dealer told the consumer that his vin did not qualify for the recall on the abs recall. the brake shoes on the rear has not been replaced since 1994 and consumer went in to have them replaced and the dealer said they were like brand new. the brake shoes on the rear is not touching the hub. consumer has to change the brake on his front every three months.  view

Dt: while driving home today and as consumer rounded a corner the child safety seat came out of the base and turned over. consumer's child was in the seat. the child was very upset and crying. consumer stopped to correct this problem and the child seat snapped back into position with out any problems.  view

Dt: the consumer owns a 2000 ford mustang gt. consumer states that since he purchased the vehicle in 2004 he has had to replace the rack and pinion. this will make three times. all the parts are remanufactured.  view
