1990 BMW 535 User Comment / Complaint

When the consumer applied the brakes in wet weather they would grab. when a bump was hit the brakes would go out completely.  view

I am having a problem with my steering and brakes.at times while driving my steering wheel will lock up and be very jerky,at times the steering wheel will go back and forth very fast and you cannot hold wheel straight.i have had this vehicle to the dealer 2 times in a week for this problem they replaced ball joints,steering stabilizer and tierodends.the problem still exsist and i have called dealer and they said they contacted ford and they are unsure of what else it could be.the brakes are also locking up while driving and when stopped there is alot of smoke from both rear brakes.again this is not all the time so dealer says they cannot fix this as well.i am very concerned i have a family that is in this vehicle and both of these issures are saftey.  view

I too have just had to replace the front rotors on my 02 dakota. i have never owned any vehicle where the rotors had to be replaced, with far more mileage than this truck(44k). the dealer says "they rotors are overheating" well if the truck is used mostly for freeway use, isnt hauling loads or towing, and its only weight is on the brakes, it would seem to the most ignorant that there is definately defective materials in the brake system.  view

I own a 1999 chevrolet k-1500 pick-up truck. i'm experiencing the same problems with the anti-lock brakes as the other 1999 trucks in the investigation issued 5/02/05. i agree this is a safety issue and believe gm needs to recall the vehicles asap. in the recall please include the chevrolet c/k 1500 pick-up trucks.  view

Noticed oil leaking from oil pan. initially thought that it was the oil plug. while changing oil detected that the oil pan was extremely rusted on exterior surface, and oil leaking from corroded surface of oil pan. oil leak is getting progressivly worse. concerned to drive vehicle on public roads in fear of losing all of the oil from engine and causing dangerous road conditions and serious damage to engine.  view

Engine & cooling systems, check engine light stays on while vehicle in use.engine misses or vibrates slightly.valves springs are bad @ 15,000 miles.  view

The consumer complained about an ongoing gas odor problem within the cabin of the vehicle. the odor was strongest when the vehicle was turned off, but could also be smelled when the vehicle was idled. the dealership serviced the vehicle several times, but was unable to remedy the problem. they claimed that they didn't smell the gas odor. the belts were noisy and were worn out. both drive belts were replaced, the front wheels wore out fast, the horn was inoperative due to an open circuit, the third brake light would shake and vibrate, the right seat wouldn't lock, and the radio was inoperative. the head gasket was leaking oil.  view
