Passenger side air bag deployed unexpectedly when the consumer closed the door. manufacturer was contacted by owner, and explained that this occurred with this type of vehicle, but consumer was concerned that this could be dangerous if the vehicle was to be involved in an accident.  view

There is a strong smell of fumes, and noise coming from the defogger when the air conditioner is turned on, distracting the consumer from the road. this could cause an accident.  view

I was driving at around 35 mph when i tried to brake and the brakes did not work. i tried the emergency brake and that wouldn't work either. i rolled to a stop and called a towing company. when i got out of the vehical there was break fluid leaking on the drivers side of the car. the vehical was towed to the dealership where i was informed that the brake line had bust. i was also told that the feul line was about to bust. the entire break and fuel lines were corroded and had to be replaced. it took the dealership 2 week to repair. the cost was over $2000.  view

Engine shutdown and the car stopped suddenly at 70mph on a highway. car was restarted but quickly shutdown again when trying to return to highway speed. managed to pull over, but when trying to shift into park the transmission got stuck in reverse and the car would no longer move. car had to be towed to dealer and is being looked at. car has a recent history of stalling 1 second after cold start, including at least once when the car lunged forward as it stalled while still in park. priot to this shutdown, the dealer was not very cooperative and had only found two settings out of spec in the engine management system and reset them (twice, 2 days apart).  view

2004 chevrolet silverado 2500 hd has antilock brake problems. the antilock wheel sensor became dirty which caused the antilock to engage right at the end of braking causing it to take longer to stop the truck. the manual never indicated that the sensors needed to be checked or cleaned. there was no warning for this failure.  view

2003 subaru legacy is leaking anti-freeze. coolant leaked due to a defective engine design. the aluminum block and head did not contract together causing the problem.  view

Contact states: abs on vehicle were coming on while being on dry pavement. this occurred also on slippery roads, resulting in extended stopping distance. paid for repairs out of pocket, a new brake sensor was replaced on the vehicle. afterwards no problems with the car.  view

Tire failure - continental touring contact as * p205/65r15 *(not p215/16 per form) the tire was oem with 2003 camry and had 30,480 miles on it and had been rotated as directed by manufacturer. no evidence of any puncture through tread. tire failed on highway during rush hour and was driven a mile wherein sidewall was chewed up. unable to determine cause of failure.  view
