1986 DODGE 600 User Comment / Complaint

While applying the brakes to stop vehicle suddenly and unexpectedly accelerated and lurched forward. consumer had to slam on the brakes to get the vehicle to stop. vehicle was taken to the dealer, who could not locate the cause of the problem.  view

I have a 1997 f-150 in which i had two wheels rust through so that the tires leaked air. the other two whheels were ex essively rusted as well. the only solution was to replace the 4 wheels. i saw no recalls, so i suspect this is a regional issue ( salt in winter) as i've seen other 1997 f-150s with similar rusted wheels. please look into this. this should be a manufacturer recall.  view

At 100 miles a brand new nissan altima with continental touring m&s, contact as tires. p215/60r16 the sidewall blew out at 10 miles mph. i am dealing with nissan to get them to replace all of the tires on the car. i do not feel safe with these tires.  view

Took my 2003 f150 xl 4x4 to get a front end alignment the technecian told me he could not do the alignment due to the upper and lower ball joints were bad (worn out) i took me truck to the nearest ford dealership and was instructed that i voided my warranty when i put on a bigger tire. the original size was a 255/70/16 and i put on 235/85/16 on the original rim. i have 35500 miles on my truck. i feel that this is another way that the dealership and the manufacturer gets away with ripping customers off.  view

In low speeds there was no stopping power, and the anti-lock brakes seemed to kick in. the consumer struck another vehicle at 5 mph when this occurred. the manufacturer stated that there was no problem with the vehicle. the consumer did find a technical service bulletin on the internet.  view

Vehicle was rear ended while at a complete stop. upon impact, both front seat backs snapped and collapsed backwards, causing the driver to fall backwards;his foot slipping off the brake pedal. vehicle careened across the street onto a field 150 foot away. driver was not injured. however, the passenger was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.  view

The check engine light came on. consumer took the vehicle in to be checked and emission flow sensor was replaced, however, the check engine light was still on.  view

Vehicle stopped running and would not restart. consumer left the vehicle, and went back the next day, and it started. vehicle was driven to the dealer, where they discovered sludge in the engine, and the engine bearings were defective.  view

Since i bought the car i have had to replace 2 water pumps in 3 years. i own a plymouth breeze(1997) and i just had to replace another water pump plus it did damage to valves and head. it cost me $1600.00. the mechanic said it is the way that chrysler made this car. he said the intreppit and the breeze are defective because of how the manufacturer made them.i was never warned about this problem nor have i heard from chrysler that there may be a defect. i have the defective water pump saved for anyone who wants to examine it!i think chrysler should be forced to pay for these repairs because of the defect in there manufacture of this vehicle.i have owned at least 10 car and have never had to replace 2 water pumps in a 3 year period.i have only had to replace 1 other water pump but it never did damage to the head and valves.this is a defect of the chrysler coorporation.  view
